A truly 5 star little group of cottages. Five star because of the attention to detail lavished both inside and outside the premises. Outside the gravelled and synthetic lawned areas were pristine— not a leaf or piece of gravel out of place— a welcoming start to our stay. Inside the cottages are quaint but totally functional— everything about the place shouts quality— from the fluffy luxuriant towels and toiletries to the best provided breakfast provisions we have ever come across in our extensive travels. We will be back next year with friends

Wow! We booked all 4 cottages for a special family celebration and had people coming to join us from all over Australia. We were so impressed with these beautifully warm and well-appointed cottages and loved the added bonus of having continental breakfast (and nespresso coffee) included. What a wonderful weekend we all had, thanks to the staff at Tanunda Cottages. A special mention to Ashley who went over and beyond to make our weekend so wonderfully memorial...the attention to detail, restaurant recommendations and special gifts were so lovely :) Thank you again and we will be definitely recommending Tanunda Cottages to others.

We were looking for a night away, a country escape, reasonably priced, comfortable and unique and boy did we find a gem! These cottages may be on the main road but dont let that fool you.. the loudest sounds we heard were the kookaburras in the morning. We we greeted by the warmth of a home when we opened the door, immediately feeling comfortable. Fully self contained we could have happily laid back in the cottage. The kitchen was small but sufficient and packed all the essentials, including ingredients for a champagne breakfast. The bathroom was large and natural soaps and scents laid throughout. 2 bedrooms, master queen bed laid with 11 pillows and electric blankets. 2 single beds in the other bedroom although we wernt using them, good to know the cottage was equipped for tge kids should we choose to bring them next time.
Overall: Cottage had charm, character, warmth and style that a Novotel cant give you. Recommend: For couples and familys, short stay or long stay.. ONLY fault was our provided milk was off, check this before your morning coffee.
Easy to say, We'll be back!

Thank you for your kind words, Reece! We absolutely love reading in detail how much you enjoyed your stay with us and we're excited by your recommendation. We really pride ourselves on making stays as comfortable as possible, with a touch of charm. We're so sorry your milk was off, we will be triple checking this for future guests. Given it is local Jersey Fresh milk it does have that natural cream on top. We hope to see you again soon!

We stayed in cottage 3 for two nights. It was small and outdated in terms of decor and facilities. The mattress in the master bedroom was beyond old. My sister had to sleep on the (uncomfortable couch in the lounge) as the bed sagged badly into a great dip in the middle. In the second bedroom things weren’t much better unfortunately, it felt like a jail cell. None of us enjoyed a good nights sleep. The kitchen was a joke, so tiny that two people could barely fit. No dishwasher which would have been handy for all the dirty plates that were left in the cupboard. The utensils were ancient and included one grotty old Decor plastic salad server! . The lovely cleaning ladies tried their best to provide new ones but couldn’t. The lounge was pokey and the table and chairs squeezed into a corner. As a party of four adults we felt it was grossly inadequate and very expensive for what was provided. The outside area was nice enough so we sat there when we could. I did make a written complain to the owners Grant and Helen Burgess . Their representative couldn’t have cared less and was not the least bit interested in our discomfort. I received a reply from her thanking me for my comments as it would help to improve things for future guests. I don’t think so!!! There are plenty of nice places to stay in Tanunda so don’t waste your time staying here

Very charming and quaint cottage. We could have easily spent additional time here. It is very comfortable and located in a quiet area, but within walking distance to the town center. We had a 2 bedroom, 1 bath cottage with a nice size living room and kitchen area. The beds were comfortable and the bath had good shower pressure. Breakfast items such as cereal, toast, coffee were provided in our room. There is no front desk and the key box code is sent to you prior to your arrival time. Plan your visit accordingly since there is no ability to drop-off and have your luggage held before check-in. I would definitely recommend this property.

We had a lovely stay at Winery Cottage. The cottage is so homely and cute. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you would need to self cater -decent knives, platters, oven and cook top, Nespresso machine and pods, plus a bottle of wine and bread etc for brekkie in the fridge.
Air con/heating throughout which is handy.
Walking distance to the village and many wineries. Our pick of the area is definitely Artisans. Fantastic place to stop and really understand what you’re drinking.
Best restaurant within walking distance is FermentAsian (fantastic food).

The most beautifully appointed cottages I've ever stayed in. Lovely touches like the Christmas tree and decorations, lights and air-conditioning on for our arrival and a two for one at the Underground Barossa cellar door winery next door. Continental breakfast choices varied as well as extra personal care items. Beautiful setting with BBQ, umbrellas and outdoor seating. Clean, welcoming and the best you'll find in the Barossa. Absolutely beautiful fittings and furniture.

We had a two night stop over on our road trip from Melbourne. The cottage was just so good. Attention to detail was amazing. We even had Christmas decorations plus a Christmas tree! I loved having the Christmas tree! We even had a bottle of "bubbles" in the fridge! Everything was provided for a continental breakfast. Cereal, milk, juice, yoghurt, bread, jam plus the Nespresso coffee machine with pods for a really good coffee. The local Foodland shop was very close and open until 8pm even on New Years Day! We were in easy walking distance to the local restaurants. The cottage was spotless, the bed was very comfortable. 10/10 from us.

We spent 4 nights in June in this lovely cottage five minutes walk from the centre of Tanunda. After a disappointing accommodation experience in Clare we were very pleased with Winery Cottage. The beds were comfortable and the cottage was lovely and cosy on our arrival with a gas fire in the lounge, and ducted air conditioning. Attention to detail was apparent throughout the cottage. Our only suggestion would be that the cottage is suitable for 6 people, but there are only sufficient seats in the lounge for four. We enjoyed visiting Underground Cellars next door and tasting their wine and port. Overall a great few days in the Barossa Valley.
