Today the caretaker was not willing or able to let us in to the camping at 5:45 pm. The rude answer on the phone was: „ Oh sorry, we closed at 5 pm; if you haven‘t booked in advance we are not willing to let you in!“ Absolutely customer unfriendly from this lazy caretaker. Avoid this campground! They are not worth your money!

We had a delightful four night stay with family and friends. Fantastic water park, pool, jumpy pillow, movies, basketball ring and even a kids disco. Grandchildren fell into bed each night with all the activities. Lovely clean, well maintained. Great staff.

We spent Christmas at the Glamping area, It was an awesome experienced. The park has lots of activities and it was family friendly, staff were helpful, the tent was clean and modern. Will definitely come back again. The only downside was the swimming pool in the Glamping site was not cleaned and needed attention. Other than that we had lots of fun inside the Park. It was also a short drive to the Whispering Wall and vineyards.

Stayed solo in the adults only Glamping Tents for 3 nights given that a couple of people had recommended these to me so wanted to try them out. Whilst I appreciated the fridge, kitchen sink, toilet and shower, I hadn't appreciated that there was no tv or radio and only patchy internet, however you don't have tv or radio when camping, so it fits and it was a good (but unplanned) detox as well. There is a common area and fire pit and I encourage you to use them and get to know your fellow neighbours/guests. By the third night we had such a great community going and I made a number of new friends where we would arrange to meet and eat dinner together (there are also communal bbqs) and try each other's wines. Travelling solo this was such a special time for me to connect with others. Couple of points of feedback to Discovery Parks: it is a bit of a trek from the carpark to the tents which required numerous walks back and forth given that there were bollards that prevented you driving to the tent and unloading or reloading your car there (and then parking your car in the carpark). I saw that Park staff removed the bollards for some senior guests checking in, which I am sure was appreciated, but this could be proactively done more often (and might assist with timely checkouts as well). On the day I checked out there were at least 6 other tent occupants checking out and we discussed this bugbear the night before. Someone tried to ring Park staff to suggest this but the phone continually rang out so that wasn't heaps helpful. Another guest was confused by the mention of multimedia facilities for the tents (refer Discovery Parks website) - none of us knew what this was so this could be clarified. Finally, the common seating area is great and we definitely utilised the heaters but were surprised that there were no ceiling fans, and found that a bit odd, and perhaps that could be rectified in the future.

Discovery park Tanunda, Our family had the most relaxing, amazing time we extended our stay and the staff especially the manager went above and beyond to make it easy and perfect, out of all the places we have stayed this one is our favourite. The staff are all so friendly and the cleaner and maintenance ladies need a medal they just made the park so beautiful and didn't stop all day long. The cabins are so clean and new the kids had the best time in the pool and water park area not to mention the game room. Would definatley recommend this to all families and all who want a break you won't find better...we will definatley be back Thankyou so much to all the staff it's nice to have wonderful customer service it's hard to find these days ☺️☺️

We love glamping so to be able to do this at the Barossa was great. Unfortunately we picked a windy night and tent rattled all night! Nice pool, fire pit with resources and camp kitchen. Staff forgot to give us our key upon check in and although the tent had been cleaned there was half a loaf od bread and a packet of opened herbs still in the cupboard. Not very close to places to eat really.

We hired a 3-bedroom self-contained house. The family enjoyed the house and the facilities of the park, including the swimming pool and water feature despite the cool weather. The house was spacious and comfortable and had all mod cons, however the cooktop didn't work. The "hot" plates only heated to a very mild warmth so you couldn't cook anything on them or even boil water. Luckily we were able to use the fan grill for bacon and the microwave for eggs. Also the ceiling lights are variable. Some are bright white, some are yellow and some are quite dim. It wasn't possible to read under some of the lights.

In my opinion, I would avoid this park as they are blatantly 'price gouging' us travellers. Get this! For 2 adults on a powered site, mid week, no public or school holidays = $85.00 per night. These are the kind of parks we must all do our best to avoid out of protest, or before we know it, they will all continue to raise prices and make travelling our great country 'unaffordable' to the majority of us. Nothing special about the park when we looked. Hahndorf in comparison was a gorgeous park just an hour away for $47.00 per night. Also a G'day park! Don't get ripped off by these greedy people! 👎👎

The caravan park is located very close to the centre of Tanunda. It is well appointed and kept tidy. The amenities are very good and clean. There is an excellent camp kitchen too. An excellent centre to explore the area.
