My seafood platter sounded great and the prawns, scallops, calamari and salad were good, however the fish didn't even taste like fish. When I mentioned there was a problem with fish to the lovely waitress she said no one else had complained today but went on to say the oil did need changing😬. When she came back from the kitchen...

When you are paying top dollar your expectations are naturally raised. There are not that many quality places in the Valley so maybe the Tanunda Hotel deals it doesn't need to try too hard. Reception is in the pub at the front bar. The accomodation is a block away out the back. This is the good bit as there is...

The apartments are off the Main Street behind the hotel. Very spacious and well appointed. Comfortable bed and huge kitchen area. Large bathroom with spa bath. All modern and quality. Quality toiletries. Only negative is small towels. Highly recommended

My husband and I recently stayed in Tanunda which is a lovely little town right in the middle of the Barossa. The unit was ultra modern with a great balcony (stay in the top right hand top unit). We had a really big bathroom with a spa bath, big shower and great sink area. All mod cons in the kitchen...

On a cold and wet day, dropped into here for lunch. We were a party of three and had an excellent meal. The service was good and the servings were more than generous. The soup of the day was tomato, bacon and basil and was a meal in itself. The size of the schnitzels needed to be seen to be...

Did not stay here but called in for lunch while in the Barossa. Generous servings and friendly staff. Had not been before but had an Entertainment voucher and wanted to use it before it expired. Unfortunately the dining area smelled like a greasy spoon cafe and put me off my food a bit. Won't go back. No salad bar either.

When in a German town uou order German food. The German grill was excellent - three meats served with sauerkraut, potato salad and salad. It was tasty and filling. My wife had soup de jour and the cheese cake and it was good. Good and quick service on a Friday night with a dedicated dining room set away from the...

The rump steak was excellent, cooked med rare, a 250g serving was more than enough and the sides were brilliant, all for under $30. Next time I'm in the Barossa Vally SA, I will be back for another one.

The Tanunda Hotel hides a set of great apartments well off busy Murray Street at the rear of the hotel. Fresh modern and large self contained rooms. The shower plumbing is noisy, but the property provides plenty of parking on site and is in the centre of town with plenty of fine restaurants on offer. A great place to stay...

Fantastic rooms in the apartments behind the hotel. Tanunda nice and central to most towns in the Barossa Valley for visiting. Good meals at the hotel too. Hotel in Main Street with a huge choice of cafes for breakfast very close by and in walking distance.
