We spent 3 nights in our camper trailer on an unpowered site in this lovely park beside Lake Fellmongery. The sites were grassy, garbage and recycling bins and tap with hose were close by. The amenities and laundry were spotless and inviting. The camp kitchen and common room were well-equipped, including a slow combustion heater. It was a short stroll to the main street of Robe.
We booked Lakeside Parks as they are one of the only accommodation in Robe that allowed pets. We stayed in the studio cabin and was very impressed. The view was spectacular from the verandah, the cabin heaters worked splendidly to keep the cabin warm in the middle of winter, electric blankets on the queen bed was also lovely. The space was clean and comfortable and very good showers. We left a mobile phone behind and the staff was very quick to contact us and arranged the phone to be posted back to Adelaide. Highly recomend Lakeside Tourist Park and will definitely be back. Our bulldog also really enjoyed his stay!
We stayed 3 nights in a standard cabin with an amazing view of the lake. It was affordable and much warmer than camping. The beds were comfortable, but bring your sleeping bag (we did) as it gets cold and the doona supplied is light weight, but they were a bonus as we didn’t expect them. The cabin was adequate and the fact that the kids room was separate was great. It had everything you would want and need. They are a little dated and could use a detailed clean (under beds and lounge dust bunnies etc), but was good value. There is plenty of BBQs (one right outside the cabins) and a camp kitchen with log fire just a short walk away. We didn’t need that though. The hosts are lovely and doing a lot of work to give better lake views and improve the place. Well worth a stay! …
Stayed Saturday 22nd February for one night in a delux villa. The villa was close to the lake with limited views, lucky for us there were no carvans sited between us and the lake so had a view. The cabin was old and needed a good clean. I guess we can't complain too much as we got the cabin at a good price with our G'day rewards card and it was only for one night..
We were lucky to successfully bid on Travel Auction and fared a 10 day stay on powered site. We stayed 5 days until the Covid-19 raised it ugly head and we thought it better to go home but only after negotiating that other family could take up the remaining prepaid 5 days to be used before Dec 11th. The amenities were always clean, thoroughly sanitized with instant hot water and well laid out shower cubicles. Management was friendly and assisted when we had questions. Whilst the area is sheltered it still gets its fair share of cool to cold winds that kept flags in the town looking like they were cardboard as they hardly went limp for the first 3 days. Other two days were gorgous.
