Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

A great little park located close to the Clare and Barossa Valley's. We stayed in there 2 bedroom deluxe cabin, it was roomy with additional wheel chair access and shower if required. The park has a small number of cabins and around 35 sites in total, lovely grassed areas a great playground for the kids and a large camp kitchen. Located next to the towns swimming pool for those hot summer day. Highly recommended if you like small quiet parks.

1st time here. New manager had just taking over. Nice people and available if needed. The park itself is a quiet bush like setting. It's very basic but has a recently revamped good little playground. A lot of the people staying are regular guests and were all great. We felt safe to let our 7 year old wander around the area once she found a few friends.
The toilets are kept very very well. A credit to the Management but also the guest who did clean up after themselves too.
The only thing is it is right adjacent the local footy oval, so when games are on expect that it would be a bit less tranquil. But great if you're into regional footy.
Nicely priced and near the town. Riverton has an IGA, Chemist and a few shops , 2 pubs.

Site 30 near the toilets is ok but it is gravel and the nearest water tap is about 20 meters away. Our hose didn't quite make it. This site is amongst the cabins and is isolated from the other sites a bit. This was ok but if your into mixing in, this site might not be your choice.
We'll be back

Dusty & Fiona go above & beyond to ensure your stay is memorable. Nothing is to much trouble & there friendly outgoing nature makes you instantly feel welcome. The park is very clean & well maintained. Sites our great with plenty of shade from the ample trees. Late afternoon Dusty will ensure you have wood for a fire & he even lit it for us. Thanks for a fantastic experience Dusty & Fiona, we look forward to our next stay.

This is the second time we have visited the caravan park this year and it has to have the friendliest owners we have ever met. Dusty and Louise go above and beyond to ensure their campers have everything they need and are very welcoming. Small lovely park with spotless amenities and a good playground. The football oval, golf course and swimming pool are right next to the park. Really friendly and nice town, a good base to explore the region. Highly recommend this park and will definitely will be back.

We stayed for a few days at Riverton Caravan Park, and enjoyed it thoroughly. There was plenty of space for each van, and there is a grassed area and playgroung. The town oval is right next door.
The managers are friendly and informative.
The singular minor problem is that modern travellers have come to rely on internet connectivity. None is available. Phone and TV reception is available because the park is close to town.
We were close to the main road, but it was fairly quiet overnight.

Lovely, quiet and small, inexpensive caravan park.
Fires in winter. Local swimming pool next door in summer.
The managers of this park are quite literally two of the nicest people we have ever met and go over and above to make sure you have a comfortable, fun and enjoyable stay.
Really safe for little ones to ride their bikes around. Footy oval for running around on. Explore the town and old rail line. Great bike/walking trail for the family. Really short drives for nice day trips around the region.
Amenities are really clean and nice. Nice big playground for the kids.
Really lovely camp kitchen. Cute little town with a good IGA for supplies and some cute op shops. Kids loved it and so do we. we have been there twice and will definitely be back.

After over a year in the outback surrounded by sparse vegetation, dust and heat, we chose Riverton to catch ch with friends immediately after returning from the wild. We found the caravan park to be peaceful and relaxing for a midweek, the trees provided shade, the sites generous, especially important with return home involves two cars, a trailer and a big 24’ caravan. We were warmly welcomed at reception, were free to choose a site that suited us and use as much room as we needed - oh so appreciated. The facilities are the cleanest, well appointed and best kept that I have seen for many years of travelling. It’s a nice walk into town where the people and businesses are so friendly and welcoming. We will be back here when we pass this way. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

This is a beautiful park with great amenities. The minute you drive in you feel at home with the lovely shady areas and beautiful grounds. The service when you call is extremely accommodating and very friendly. I would say a must stop park.

We stayed at Riverton betweem Clare and Barossa Valleys for one night in June. Camped near ablution block and laundry. All very clean and modern. Reception friendly. We were permitted to have an open fire and it was great.
