This has been one of my favourite caravan parks - and ive stayed at many on my trip around Aus. I stayed at Milicent due to its central location, but i was very pleasantly suprised about what a nice a place it was to stay, the peace and quiet, laid back friendly locals who were happy to give advice the best places to go and great places to eat (grand hotel amoungst others) The owners of the caravan park were very friendly and laid back, I chose a site on the edge of the park that had rural views, it was quiet and relaxing and I didnt feel like other people were on top of us, the bathrooms had two seperate ensuites you could use, the sites were flat, and there were none of the usual annoyances you find at some parks. The park is divided up by trees and hedges so theres a private place for everyone. This park may not be your newest caravan park but it has probably been my favourite caravan park so far.

Had the pleasure of camping here for a week with our kids. The amenities are clean while the camp kitchen and cooking hut meant cooking each night was a breeze. Fun for kids with trampolines and fires. Great spot to set up and use as a base. We will be back again.

4 of us squeezed into the compact cabin which had everything we needed including towels, toiletries, hair dryer and dish detergent. Not all the beds were made because they assumed that 2 people would sleep in the master bedroom, but nonetheless gave the remaining bedsheets in the cabin. We stayed here only one night after going Mayura Station. I booked through Agoda as its price was better than Airbnb’s. It had the firmest (best) mattress of the various places I stayed this holiday.
Although my feet stuck out from the edge of the bunk bed (I am 1.77m), the blanket was long enough to cover my feet and keep me warm.

What a wonderful, very clean and very affordable accommodation! After my last accommodation at a Caravan Park on Yorke Peninsula which was described as "clean" by the owners and where I spent at least one hour to clean the cups, plates, glasses, forks, knives and spoons (the pots and pans were so dirty that I refused to touch them), I gave up any hope to find a really clean accommodation after 28 years of travelling through Australia, but here now is this great exception: The Hillview Caravan Park in Millicent which really positively surprised me. And the best thing is that this accommodation is in the centre of all the beautiful travel destinations around the Limestone Coast: the beautiful Canunda National Park, the fine Tantanoola Cave, Penola with its pretty Petticoat Lane (5 beautiful cottages, built between 1850 and 1869) and the Mary Mackillop Interpretive Centre, the Coonawarra Wine Region, Mt. Gambier and the wonderful Penambol C.P. with its awesome Caroline Sinkhole and the butterfly walk and the wombat walk, Beachport and Southend, the greatest windfarm in Australia just around Millicent and if you have children or grandchildren a wonderful big playground in the town itself.

Stayed for 2 nights in a small cabin, the place was spotless. Exceptionally good value. Netflix, warm, quiet, what a bargain!
The shower was sensational, great water pressure and as hot as you like it (and this has not always been the case is some places that i have stayed!)
What a wonderful little gem of a place to stay!

Not everyone knows about Millicent,SA. What find! And the find within the find is the Hillview Caravan Park! Just a couple of km from the town centre, it is perched on a hill (as the name suggests), and it provided the most comfortable and quietest week I’ve ever had in a caravan park. The smallest cabin was plenty big enough, with a fantastic kitchen, great queen bed and very efficient heating.
I thoroughly recommend The Hillview…… Alan and his wife were wonderful hosts.
With thanks, Steve elphick

Recently stayed here with my son for 2 nights. Very happy with our stay, super friendly staff (my son was very happy to have gotten the chance to cook a pizza in a real wooden oven).
Park has all needed facilities/amenities; kitchen, freezer/fridge, gas cooktop, oven, BBQ, toilets and showers. All were clean and in good condition!
Kids will love the playground, trampoline, swings and sand pit.
Will definitely be back and stay longer! :)

+1
This caravan park has been my favourite one of all the caravan parks I’ve stayed at thus far and I’ve stayed in a lot as we are often travelling. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. We hadn’t planned to stay here as we were on a road trip and travelling along the coast but we decided to go inland a bit for one night and I’m so glad we went here. Our cabin was very clean and comfortable. Spacious and homely. The lawns were all very green and well maintained. Loved the layout of all the cabins. We will definitely be going here again. Highly recommend!
