I've visited several times during the quiet off peak periods and found the hosts to be very friendly and helpful. It's a well maintained and peaceful location, with the usual camping and cabin options. I've stayed in the bush cabins and the quaint windmill villa and found them to be very comfortable.
Kapunda is a typical quiet, friendly country town and a perfect getaway for people who want to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and just chill out and relax for a few days.

Booked 1 night in a bush cabin which sleeps 7. This was all that was available when I booked using the caravan park website. The cost was $140 for 2 of us.
Very pleasant check in & wifi free, fast & reliable.
We were allocated Cabin 11 towards the back of the park. It overlooks the dam for the golf course & is just lovely.
The cabin is well equipped. Everything was beautifully fresh & clean. There is a front balcony overlooking the dam. It is very quiet & peaceful.
As there were only 2 of us, we only used 1 bedroom.
The kitchen works well for light prep of food. The air con works well & is quiet, so is the fridge.
Theres a separate toilet & a smallish shower room. The shower works well.
This is a well maintained caravan park with gardens in front of the cabins. It was the best caravan park we stayed in (a total of 3 )on this holiday. Highly recommended

This is the second time we’ve stayed here for A Day on the Green. It’s not only more cost effective than a Barossa motel at these times, but as a caravan park surrounded by old farm equipment and beautiful gardens, it has so much more charm, character and uniqueness than a regular motel. The cabins are simply gorgeous, and the grounds are kept so wonderfully. The staff are so friendly and check-in is seamless. I had family pop in for a coffee while we stayed and they were so taken with the place they are planning to stay here for when they next come down, too!

Booked a stay at short notice as we travel SA. Huge level powered caravan store. Excellent price for 4 nights. Clean and tidy central amentities, park manager didn't stop working the whole time we were there as they are improving and extending the sites. You can see the care and pride taken.
Location wise was great for us to discover the Barossa, Kapunda had great service services as well for firewood, food and fuel.
If we get to the Barossa again this will be our first choice.

Stayed Wednesday 11th March for one night in bush cabin small no 12. It wasn't small, had everything we needed, very clean, pity you had to pay more for linen in 2nd bedroom. Down side was no grass at all, all gravel and dirt even around carvan sites. Also the staff member who checked us in was more interested in what they were doing before we came into the office than making sure we had a good stay.

We stayed at Kapunda quite by accident after not being able to stay at our planned destination. So glad we happened upon this park. It’s location is fantastic, short walk to town . The towns recreation facilities are directly next to the park , which gives a lovely sense of open space around the park. Sites are large , amenities are super clean and showers are spacious compared to most. It was lovely to see the old truck , farm machinery and windmills around the park all displayed with pride. Pet friendly too. I think this park will become a regular stop on our trips into SA. Well done to the owners , you were very welcoming and knowledgeable.

Terry, Brad and Emma are wonderful hosts who go out of their way to care for their guests. The facilities are spotless and cleaned and maintained well. The level of care shows in the little things too - all the way to fresh flowers in the bathrooms!
Green lawn, shade, good positioning within a beautiful little town at the top of the Barossa.
It wasn’t our first stay, and we will definitely stay again when we travel through.

Beautiful quiet place to stay for a couple of nights. Even on hot days we kept the cabin cool with the air-conditioner. Sat outside and enjoyed the peaceful spot and watched the birds. Great second hand book shop in town. Anlaby nearby is a great outing from Kapunda.

We stayed long weekend in a Kidman cabin and friends in the one next door . So clean and staff at park made arrival so easy and checked that everything was good. Minimal kitchen but we ate out at north kapunda hotel and then had take away pizza from the pizza bar which was great. Everything was clean and well laid out couldn’t fault the cabin. We were walking lavender federation trail which was only a 30 min drive away so it worked out really well. Thank you Brad and Emma
