Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Terry, Brad and Emma are wonderful hosts who go out of their way to care for their guests. The facilities are spotless and cleaned and maintained well. The level of care shows in the little things too - all the way to fresh flowers in the bathrooms! Green lawn, shade, good positioning within a beautiful little town at the top of the Barossa. It wasn’t our first stay, and we will definitely stay again when we travel through.

Room Tip: Take time to go up to the lookout nearby at sunset. Nice views over the town and surrounding area

This is the second time we’ve stayed here for A Day on the Green. It’s not only more cost effective than a Barossa motel at these times, but as a caravan park surrounded by old farm equipment and beautiful gardens, it has so much more charm, character and uniqueness than a regular motel. The cabins are simply gorgeous, and the grounds are kept so wonderfully. The staff are so friendly and check-in is seamless. I had family pop in for a coffee while we stayed and they were so taken with the place they are planning to stay here for when they next come down, too!

The Kidman cottages seem brand new. We were very well looked after by the owner Brad. Exceptionally clean and spacious. The bathroom is huge for a cabin. Great views from the balcony and a 3 minute walk to 2 pubs. We will be using this Park as a base for our next 3 or 4 legs of the Heysen Trail. Perfect!!

Booked 1 night in a bush cabin which sleeps 7. This was all that was available when I booked using the caravan park website. The cost was $140 for 2 of us. Very pleasant check in & wifi free, fast & reliable. We were allocated Cabin 11 towards the back of the park. It overlooks the dam for the golf course & is just lovely. The cabin is well equipped. Everything was beautifully fresh & clean. There is a front balcony overlooking the dam. It is very quiet & peaceful. As there were only 2 of us, we only used 1 bedroom. The kitchen works well for light prep of food. The air con works well & is quiet, so is the fridge. Theres a separate toilet & a smallish shower room. The shower works well. This is a well maintained caravan park with gardens in front of the cabins. It was the best caravan park we stayed in (a total of 3 )on this holiday. Highly recommended

We stayed long weekend in a Kidman cabin and friends in the one next door . So clean and staff at park made arrival so easy and checked that everything was good. Minimal kitchen but we ate out at north kapunda hotel and then had take away pizza from the pizza bar which was great. Everything was clean and well laid out couldn’t fault the cabin. We were walking lavender federation trail which was only a 30 min drive away so it worked out really well. Thank you Brad and Emma

We stayed at Kapunda quite by accident after not being able to stay at our planned destination. So glad we happened upon this park. It’s location is fantastic, short walk to town . The towns recreation facilities are directly next to the park , which gives a lovely sense of open space around the park. Sites are large , amenities are super clean and showers are spacious compared to most. It was lovely to see the old truck , farm machinery and windmills around the park all displayed with pride. Pet friendly too. I think this park will become a regular stop on our trips into SA. Well done to the owners , you were very welcoming and knowledgeable.

We stayed in a budget cabin and a powered, grassy site. The cabin was basic price, but with a remarkable level of facilities - hair-dryer, iron and ironing board, microwave, griller/oven, saucepans and an electric frypan, all immaculately clean, every required implement, decent sized frig. Glasses - wine, flutes and tumblers. Good ceramic china. Hotel quality sheets. Air-conditioning. Double bed and three bunks. Lots of windows so good ventilation. The grassy powered site we chose was away from the main facilities, but lots of others close to big well equipped camp kitchen and amenities. We had great assistance from Brad in so many ways. These owners are wonderful and the park is a gem. And that's without the glories of the Barossa. Come and enjoy.

Visited an oversized powered caravan site for one night only. From the extremely helpful Brad in making the booking through to check in, the excellent site for our oversized van to the cleanest amenities I have seen, this stay has been fantastic. Thanks Kapunda Tourist Park. Brilliant!

Extremely happy with the park. Fabulous service and the best shower! We even got choice for our powered site. Great pressure and hot. The bathroom facilities are clean and well cared for. We stayed for 10 nights and it was ideal to travel and see the Barossa and Clare Valley wine regions.
