Dennis and Bonnie are charming hosts who skillfully and lovingly built this beautiful Cottage, set in their own Coonawarra vineyard. Enough said already! We loved the architecture and character of the home, which is immaculate. Looking forward to tasting Dennis' Highbank Cabernet Sauvignon,100%, Family Reserve, which we purchased from him on departure. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and few days in...

Lovely little spot looking across the gorgeous Highbank vineyard and Coonawarra surrounds. Picture worthy sunset across the vines. Our hosts were wonderful, left us ample breakfast provisions, got to meet the winemaker, sample their incredible cabernet and blend (which of course led to some purchases ;) Amazing wine, stunning place. Thanks Dennis.

Comfortable accommodation with great facilities. We spent three nights as a group of six and stayed in the villa and cottage. The accommodation is charming and rustic. The host was very welcoming and only a phone call away if we needed anything. Great position in the middle of the Terra rossa strip. Kitchen was well equipped and stocked. Only improvement...

We loved every minute spent at highbank winery, we stayed in 'the room with a room' and gosh did it have a view. Completely surrounded by vineyards, it felt like heaven on earth. We wanted for nothing with yummy breakfast provisions, a spa in the bathroom and delicious wines to taste. We will be back :)

Great Location! The room with a view was lovely. Denis was great.......wine tasting and provisions for breakfast were awesome! We had a lovely sunset walk that evening and dinner at Piper's of Penola! First Class! Just so you all know, there is no wifi available. The only spot in town is at the information centre!

We visited Highbank Estate during Coonawarra's Cellar Dwellers in June 2015. The location is the epitome of wine country - a beautiful stone cottage nestled within a vineyard with beautiful views from each window, We were met on arrival by our friendly host Dennis who provided a wine tasting of his excellent wines. The cottage was warm (thanks to Dennis...

The location was perfect, in the middle of the Coonawarra wine region, accommodation was also perfect. All mod cons provided including a cosy open fireplace and spa. The owners were a pleasure to deal with and provided a wonderful service. 10/10!

I love this place so much! It's exactly what you need on a weekend away. You wake up to the view of grapes on the vine and just so relaxed that you feel transported to some other time where life is slow and easy and all problems just dissolve. Dennis is an amazing host, very passionate about wine and this...

Dennis is a great host. Warned us to watch for kangaroos at dusk on the way there and welcomed us with a wine tasting. Every window overlooked the grapevines - it was heaven. Was there with friends, but the cottage was very romantic with a candle-lit spa. Dennis provided all the makings for a fine breakfast (including home-made quince jam)...

Honeysuckle Rise Accommodation A touch of Tuscany in the heart of the Coonawarra. Honeysuckle Rise offers two beautifully appointed and self-contained facilities, which offer privacy and location in the heart of the Coonawarra wine region. The choice of two romantic guest retreats, the spacious 'Cottage' where privacy is emphasised in its own vineyard or 'Villa' with 'Room with a View', a cosy second story, but very spacious apartment with picturesque views of the vines from every room. The 'Cottage' and the 'Villa' (down stairs) have an open freestone fireplace and both can accommodate up to four adults. Firewood is provided at a reasonable extra cost of $20 per night of use. 'The Cottage' and 'Villa' both capture the charm of the historic South East but with the most modern of features. Both have spa baths for two persons, fully equipped kitchens, queen size beds, and special views of our vineyards. A fully equipped commercial kitchen in the 'Villa' (down stairs) also allows for the creation of wonderful gourmet meals. The Cottage is a small stone home nestled in its own beautiful vineyard. Close the iron gates at the entrance of the drive and enjoy total seclusion and privacy. The Cottage caters for two or four adults in an open floor plan. The Cottage interior is light and inviting with limestone walls, exposed beams, arched French doors, lead light windows and a stone fireplace. A cosy loft-bedroom overlooks the vineyard and private driveway as the floor plan is open to up-stairs and down. The spacious two-person spa is private and looks out to its own garden to be enjoyed. The 'Room with a View'a second floor Suite, is designed to be that special place for two. There is a very comfortable extra pull out bed, if needed for the chaperon. Where the full two stories of the 'Villa' can accommodate four guests. Each accommodation has its own two-person candle lit spa.
