Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed at the Burra park for two nights recently while visiting friends who live in Burra and were welcomed warmly by Anne, given information that was required and even given another spot when the original was a bit cramped for our van. The park is small and basic but easy to navigate with van. Amenities are very clean and the sites are kept clean. Wayne and Anne obviously take pride in the park. We will use the park again the next time we are in Burra.

Lovely little park, very clean amenities and walking to distance to the Main Street area. We stayed for 2 nights on our way north and the park was quiet and had everything we needed. We also went on a day trip to Clare and wandered the street of Burra seeing the beautiful well maintained stone buildings. Certainly a nice little stop over. People in the town were very friendly!

Both times I camped there the showers were not hot enough even with no cold water added. The entire park is too small for such a busy tourist town but the non powered area for tents is very small, especially when only half the area is properly grassed due to wear and tear. The couple at reception for my 1st visit were extremely welcoming but the older lady 2nd visit was abrupt and unfriendly. Very nice kitchen area. Burra badly needs some budget cabins in a decent sized holiday park.

The location of the park is nice and amenities are clean but I can not recommend this park. At present park is not crowded so all vans are parked close to the amenities except us. We are at the far end of park, on our own, with a long walk to the amenities. The only difference for us is we are Victorian. However we are not in COVID isolation as we have been travelling for over 2 months. Apart from the long walk, in the cold, to get to the showers and toilets, our site does not have a Grey water drain. When I asked what to do with our grey water I was told to let it run on the trees, yet we back on to the creek. I would never let Grey water out this close to a waterway. Very unhappy with our site when there are plenty of others available.

Cute little caravan park in Burra.
Easy check in and clean facilities - best showers so far! Walking distance to town which is an historical mining town that has everything you need including 2 fuel outlets, great cafes, bakery and a really well stocked IGA. Make sure you visit the information centre- they were very helpful and friendly. Some interesting historical sites, art gallery and town hall museum.

This is a very friendly and central caravan park with good amenities. The staff are most helpful and obliging. Its an easy walk into town or I would also recommend a cycle, especially for the 'passport' self guided tour to historic sites in and around town.

A small park off the highway next to a creek with sites that are wide & level. Amenities are clean with good water pressure. It is well laid out so easy to park & set up. Close to town so an easy walk to grocery store & delicious bakery. We'll be back.

This caravan park is located a close walk to the town shops. The park was clean and tidy and we would recommend you stay a few nights and visit the attractions. There is a visitor centre close to check out.The town is quaint and old worldly.

We stayed here in feb, and were camping with our dogs and pet birds as we were moving interstate. My husband parked by the camping area in the shade while I signed in, and the office woman was very aggressive demanding as soon as I walked in where did the trailer go and why can’t I see him in the security camera, which was A lie because next she said tell him he can’t park there.I explained and when she asked how long we were staying I was unsure as Injust wanted to walk out but it was too hot for the animals. She was so sarcastic if I don’t hear from you by 9 am I will assume you are leaving at 10 am. We cut our stay short by a day and used the camp kitchen looking over our shoulder the whole time expecting to be run out. Never again !,

Great location to stop for an overnight stay. Park is clean and showers are the best we have had in a caravan park. Good location, easy walk to cafes and pubs in the main street of Burra. Would stay again.
