Jagged a beautiful breezy evening to sit out on the verandah and watch the world go by. Hosts were excellent, and very friendly. Drinks were cold, and food was perfect.
Accommodation in Mews was rustic and basic(small),but very nice thanks to a modern AC unit.
Everything we’d hoped for in our overnight stay.
Relaxed, friendly front bar banter, and excellent food.
Service quite good, nice pub, great location but needs better effort on food.

Thank you very much.
The BnB is exceptionally good value. To be clear - the criticisms I've seen in previous reviews are accurate. The room is small and dark - but it's an old pub. That is part of its original structure and its charm. The bathroom is not separated from the bedroom by a door. There is a partition so that you can't see the toilet and shower from the bedroom but it doesn't go all the way across, so it's not soundproof or anything. There is no real privacy, so maybe it's better for long term couples rather than for your first ever mini break when you're still aiming for an air of mystery.
That all being said - you get what you pay for. Rooms here are a great price for clean and comfortable accomodation attached to a fantastic pub. The breakfast provisions (toast, cereal, juice, tea, coffee) are included in the room and a perfect light breakfast before a day of lots of wine and rich food.
The noise from the pub didn't carry on very late (we were there on a weeknight). The bed was a bit short for someone over 6 foot but comfortable enough for a short stay.
Would stay here again in a heartbeat if the price stays low.
