Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great spot for a traveller to take a break . Good coffee and the chocolate brownie was great , but not good for my girth . Very friendly lady serving and the coffee and brownie arrived very quickly . Outdoor seating is good and the toilet was clean .

Stumbled on this quaint cafe that has a gorgeous sun trap out front to sit in. The food was fresh, tasty and had a very interesting menu. I ordered the chicken and mushroom risotto with pumpkin and it was divine. Came with a cute side salad as did everyone else’s meals. My partner had lasagne and the others had the ham and cheese toaster which they all raved about. Just perfect for when you want a great quality cooked meal that’s tasty and great value.

I booked a night at Mellers B&B, because I liked the idea of staying a converted stable. I was not disappointed either by the charm or the comfort of the lodgings. It was so tranquil and homey, a delightful place to rest after a long day of travel from Queensland, to Adelaide and onto the Clare Valley. If you're looking for a true 'getaway from it all' experience, you can't go past this lovely little cottage in the quiet village of Auburn.

We have stopped into this cafe on 4 occasions whilst house-sitting in Riverton. On the first visit, we were welcomed by the gorgeous Rosemary. Very easy conversation where we learned heaps about the area. We have had the fantastic scones and Apple cake on 3 of these visits. We were even invited to a night out at the local bowling club where we had a wonderful time. Everyone in this cafe, patrons and staff, are a wealth of information and so easy to talk to. Thanks for making our stay in the area, so welcoming.

I have really travelled the world & this is by FAR the best most beautiful + FUN B&B I have ever known. Such lovely vibes atmosphere décor & colourful birds in the morning chirping to add to the tranquility. Thank you Rosemary Howe for your warmth & hospitality. I have enjoyed it so much, couldn't wait to get home to it every night after our days out at some of the quaint and exquisite wineries in the surrounding area. Well done, it is a wonderful life you have created. Such fun. I will ALWAYS remember Mellor's of Auburn Café I highly recommend this place for a tranquil and relaxing stay

I decided on a whim to book accommodation on a Friday, for that same night and for 2 nights. We weren't going to arrive until late (after 9.30pm - ended up being 10pm). No problem at all. The owner had arrangements for people coming in late. We stayed in the smaller stable, as the larger room had spa issues, but we knew this beforehand, and the smaller room wasn't a problem. The huge spa was awesome. Great for my sore shoulders after a long week. We had morning tea/breakfast at Mellers Cafe and were given a complimentary coffee. The scones are the BEST I've ever had in my whole life. Would definitely go back again. The owner is very friendly and very knowledgeable about the region offering numerous suggestions. We went to them all!

My husband and I stopped at Mellor's Cafe for lunch on our recent trip to the Clare Valley. We had a lovely light and very yummy meal., chicken and leek pot pie and die for quiche. Have one of the gorgeous cakes after before visiting the first of 4 cellar doors in Aburn., all of which are a short pretty walk from one another including Geoffrey Grrosset and K T. We should have in fact stayed in Auburn for the full weekend as there are great places to eat and stay. Really recommend this great little town

Stayed at Mellers B & B - the one with the little sitting room, it was so lovely, beautiful touches everywhere and so thoughtfully finished. Auburn is a lovely little town on the edge of the Clare Valley, definitely worth a stay. Rosemary is a very accomodating hostess and obviously loves the hospitality industry. I cannot fault this place and it offers real value for money. Her cafe next door offers lovely home cooked food. What a great part of South Australia!

Cottage Chic with a Parisian feel the quaint décor was delightful to have good HOT coffee with scones and triple-choc cake. My husband was very impressed that he requested hot coffee and that's exactly what he got. The staff were efficient and pleasant We were advised to come here for coffee by the cellar door at Taylors Wines and so glad we did.

After a chilly bike ride from Sevenhill, we welcomed the wood fire at Meller's. It was so effective that we had to shed clothes! Ordered 3 meals, all hot and satisfying; veggie frittata, pie floater and ham and cheese croissant. Well priced. Interesting decor; homely. Very friendly staff. Excellent array of sweet things. Hot, well made coffee and hot chocolate. We would definitely return. Didn't stay in the accommodation.
