Visited Strathlyn over Xmas break. Very peaceful. Surrounded by vines the property is an ideal weekend escape from the city. Walking distance to Saltrams winery- which is literally next door, Farmers Market and Vintners Restaurant. Very cosy. Well recommended.

Great place to stay in Mclaren, close to the bike trail and the house and grounds are beautiful with a lot of history. Heather was the perfect host friendly and knowledgeable on the area. The Rose Suite was decorated nicely, clean comfortable bed. Spa bath / products were a nice touch. Ticked all the boxes so definitely recommend.

Even the cats were friendly when we opened the curtains onto the verandah first thing in the morning. We had booked over the internet and has requested a restaurant reservation. Heather was so helpful and it was greatly appreciated. We walked to dinner and were given a torch to help. The accommodation is very clean, all facilities were available and...

Stayed in the Lemon Tree cottage with a bridal party and it was a lovely place for this. Plus it's nice and convenient for accessing the rest of the Barossa. Thankyou to Heather for her personal touches.

My partner and I stayed for two nights in the coach house and wow what a treat. Communication with Heather was so easy and she was very friendly showing us around the coach house. Just beautiful to be staying in amongst the vineyards away from the main B&B. We especially enjoying having a wine on the balcony. The provisions of...

On our first (and so far only, but not last!) visit to the Barossa Valley during the 2011 Labour Day long weekend, we chose Strathlyn Estate, and in particular the Coach House. It looked very appealing, and had the extra privacy and charm we wanted. The Coach House once upon a time was an actual coach house, and has been...

We stayed in the Coach House, which is beautifully furnished, peaceful and quiet. A great location, and an easy walk and drive to various wineries and restaurants. Breakfast provisions are included and are more than generous, the bed extremely comfortable, and the general set up well thought out. The property is adjacent to a vineyard (Saltram's) and the view from...

Strathlyn Estate is a charming, tranquil retreat nestled among the vines near Angaston. We spent 3 nights in the Coach House and loved every minute there. The Coach House is set at the back of the Estate with a separate driveway, so is very private and secluded. The estate also has another couple of units attached to the main homestead....
