Detailed Reviews
Our apartment, "Chardonnay" (one of four) was located on the second floor of the apartment block. The apartment was clean, spacious, well equipped with everything we required and more... even a beautiful little complementary platter in the fridge with local cheeses, pate, biscuits and fruit. The kitchen was well appointment and even had a "real" coffee machine and ground coffee supplied. We had a great, spacious lounge/dining area with huge tv and Google Home mini for all the music we could possibly want, books, magazines etc.
Two bedrooms each containing king sized beds, a large bathroom with shower, separate toilet and a fantastic balcony out front to sit out and enjoy our Barossa Valley wines and cheese plate, looking over the peaceful town of Angaston.
Just a short walk to restaurants (Thai, Pizza/pasta, Vietnamese etc.) 2 hotels, supermarket, bakeries, coffee shop, newsagent, and many, many more interesting shops.
Highly recommend these apartments to travelling couples... just perfect.

The apartment came with a pleasant surprise, a platter of nibbles in the fridge - quite possibly an understatement as it includes a small wheel of soft cheese, an assortment of dried fruit, a sealed tub of pate and a pack of water crackers.
Our apartment was well appointed and represented good value for money.
As exceptionally tall people (6’8 and 6’2) we were let down somewhat by the short shower (I washed sitting down, to wet my hair - but anyone under 5’10 should be fine) and the bed, which was generous in width but left me wanting for length more than a usual queen size bed would. A little in the form side, the hosts have tried to compensate for that with a mattress topper which helped but did not offer the same level of comfort as a genuinely comfortable mattress.
The kitchen was very well appointed and again the fridge yielded surprises including ground coffee for the dripolater machine. Ample cooking gear a drawer with oil, pepper, salt etc., and a dishwasher allowed us to feel at home in the kitchen.
Couch had lovely high sides, perfect for reading a book, and the dining setting was lovely and comfortable.
Pleasant garden view through the window, although an odd smell prevented us taking advantage of the garden table and chairs. I would not expect this smell to be persistent though so future visitors should be fine.
In all a lovely experience, a struggle to say we would be back due to our height incompatibility with the bed and shower but the fact the rest of the apartment and experience is so great, combined with excellent value for money, makes it a struggle.
Top marks for hygiene. Thankyou for that.

We arrived in the Barossa region with no pre-booked accommodation but with a recommendation to check out Angeston. As soon as we drove through this pretty little town we knew it was where we wanted to stay. Staff at the visitor information centre (Tanuda) were great at helping us book and everything was pretty straightforward. Upon arriving we found the lace clean, today and more than adequate for a couple. Really nice spot/set-up although we stayed on the ground floor and just a couple of pointers for the owners. The apartment was really dark and could benefit from one way blinds to take advantage of the daylight. Lights on the main room (Red Orchid) were a little 'boudoir' and could probably benefit from something more subtle. Overall a great place though. Clean, tidy and thoughtful touches (brekkie pack etc). Would definetly recommend for a couple of friends.

Hello......Thanks for you comments and yes we must agree Angaston is a great little country town, could be why they call it "the crown of the valley". We also run the Angaston Market here in the iconic Angaston Town Hall (2nd Sunday of every Month) so perhaps on your next visit you can pop in and say Hi...also noted your comments on the lighting.

it was very hot when we arrived. The room had been precooled for us. Little extra thoughts like this mean a lot! The extra goodies supplied were again fantastic. This is always our accommodation of choice when going to Angaston.

We are Americans living in South Australia and Angaston was our first assignment. The Angaston Mews was great. We stayed in the Red Orchid Room. There were two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with twin beds. There is also a pullout couch in the living room. The hotel room is like a small apartment with a dining room, living room kitchen, jacuzzi tub and shower and a private toilet room. The kitchen was fully stocked with breakfast cereals, fresh baked goods from the local bakery, milk, wine, butter and many other great things. The hotel is at the top of the main street and less than a 2 minute walk to the center of Angaston and shopping area, including a grocery store. The building also has a grill for use and we cooked our meals there and in the oven in the kitchen. This place is superb for its convenience and location, and the decor is Chinese and red-themed. The hotel also has free laundry with detergent, a dishwasher and soap and every kitchen amenity you could need. It also has free Wi-Fi. We loved it!

Great location in a lovely town with off street parking. Only 2 minutes walk from some great cafes, pubs, etc. but still nice and quiet.
We stayed in the first week of July so the electric blanket and reverse cycle air con got a good work out.
Newly renovated it has a new, really well equiped kitchen with full size fridge, oven, stove top and dishwasher.
I only booked the evening before arriving and was then in transit all the next day so didn't realise that there were problems until I arrived at 10pm needing my room. Kate was most understanding and helped me resolve the problems without any stress.
The only down side was the main bedroom is very small and the bed is two singles joined in the middle, meaning the toes are close to hanging out the bottom.
Overall I found the apartment really quite comfortable and great value.

We stayed here for 3 nights over New Year's Eve in the empire rose upstairs apartment.
Pros:
- well stocked and good sized kitchenette. BBQ available downstairs
- double shower with great water pressure
- air con worked well in living area on 40 plus degree days
- large balcony
- very clean
- good value
- short walk from shops
- close to many wineries
Cons
- somewhat strange decor
- living area and bedrooms not huge, best for people who intend to spend most of their time out and about rather than staying in the apartment
We would definitely return next time we are in the Barossa

Got a pretty good deal on Wotif for this one so we headed off for the long weekend. Picked up the key in Tanunda, which is probably a redundant step as I'm sure they could just send or phone you the details and avoid that step. Anyhow, the entrance door were not marked at all, so you weren't sure if they were to apartments or the building. Once inside I can only agree with the other reviews here about the weird bordello style common area. Thank God the better half still has good eyesight as there is no way I would have been able to unlock the key safe. Once inside though, all was OK. It was a nice 2 br apartment. Bedrooms a bit small, but lounge, kitchen and bathroom were fine. Well appointed. Needed to fiddle the TV settings a little to watch Austar properly, but that was a good inclusion. Quiet end of the street. Do get some noise from other apartments, but not much worse than most hotels. Everything worked. The "king bed" was two king singles together, which is usually ok, but these were not zipped together and had a gulf. And they were too short, so points off for that. The included "Barossa Bites" were generous, but had nothing to do with the Barossa! Overall good value for the price.

We stayed in this apartment during the end of December 2013, and after a long drive from Melbourne we were greeted with the fabulous air conditioner and a fully equipped kitchen - complete with wine, spices, chocolates and various other little treats. The check in was very easy and the staff helpful as we had the option of doing it over the phone or in person. The apartment we stayed in had two huge bedrooms, a very nice bathroom with a two person shower. As well as cable TV and a lovely view. A bonus was it is only a 2 minute walk to the main street and Blonde Coffee which serves up one of the best coffees in Barossa.
