Detailed Reviews
We stayed three nights at Oshen Apartments and were upgraded to a penthouse room when we arrived. The views are amazing - worth the trek up the hill. The undercover secure parking was great, It had a fully equipped kitchen and washer/dryer combo. The pool was small but was heated with awesome ocean views. The apartments were clean and modern. It is walking distance to shops and restaurants if you can be bothered walking back up the hill afterwards. We didn't avail ourselves of them but there are shuttle buses.

Hudman - thank you for taking the time to review Oshen. So excited to read you enjoyed the efforts of our Oshen Team to provide quality accommodation with sensational views...YES you are certainly correct that there are courtesy buses at some venues in town to return our guests to Oshen also local Taxi's - the Adelaide St walk is quite ok and sensational views to top it off. Yeppoon Town is preparing for the time (in the near future) for our wonderful guest to return to the Capricorn Coast Queensland Australia. Kindest regards Oshen.

Great clean rooms. Open plan with amazing views of keppel islands. Second time staying here. Book direct and save $$$
Heaps of walks close by and only walking distance to over 10 restaurants. Only 5 minutes drive to the ferry to Keppel Island.

The room was comfortable and suited our needs. The patio was large and perfect for watching the stunning sunrises each morning. There seemed to be a lot of rules and regulations posted all around the property, carpark, lifts and rooms. We were asked to remove all rubbish from the room and place in a chute before departure and not surprisingly there was no housekeeping service provided during our stay. The location is high up on a hill which makes for fabulous views, but not much else. We really loved Yeppoon, but would probably not stay here again if we returned.

AMS111227 - thank you for reviewing Oshen - yes just a few little tips around for those that require a reminder on the basics - Oshen does have provide a mid stay service for stays of 7 nights or longer (as with most SELF CATERING APARTMENT COMPLEXES) We wish you every success with your future accommodation requirements. :-) Oshen.

The single bedroom apartment was nice enough for our three night stay in January and I would have rated higher expect for a few things that were disappointing.
1. Paid $275 per night for 3 nights ($825) and for that we were disappointed to read in the room notices that we were expected to empty our rubbish bins and take them out in plastic bags to the garbage disposal chute. Also expected to pack the dishwasher and tidy the room as we found it. I have stayed in many places in various Aust. States (rural & cities) for a lot less where housekeeping did all that at the end of your stay. Certainly would expect that level of service when paying $275 per night.
2.Entry door did not lock close when leaving the apartment. I suspect this was partly due to the air pressure in the room when the balcony doors are closed (as is usually the case when going out for the day). This is a major security concern and we didn't realise this was happening until the last day.
3. The toilet cistern capacity is too small and just about always never flushed away everything (even when just pee and a bit of toilet paper was in there). Usually took two or more flushes to remove everything.
4. The car parks in the under building security car park were small and hard to get in and out of. Not much room between car doors and a high risk of kids (or adults) opening doors and banging the car next to it. I had to use my hand to stop my door from touching the cars beside me when getting in and out. Often needed a 3 point manoeuvre to get car in and out of park and it's only a mid-sized SUV.
Otherwise the room, contents and view were fine.

We’ve never been treated so poorly by hotel staff in our life! They act like you’re staying for free in their house rather than treating you with respect and valuing you as a paying customer. Extremely tight 1 1/4 rolls of toilet paper provided for 4 night stay (how tight) no coasters, placemats provided. Seems like the arrogant front desk staff can’t take constructive feedback from their paying guests, they argue back with each customer unless it’s something they want to hear! Which is evident in multiple other reviews. Would recommend people stay somewhere else in Yeppoon. The driveway is extremely steep and the swipe access to the gate difficult to reach on such a steep incline. Staff need to treat their customers like gold.

We booked a "penthouse" room for 2 nights for our elopement, we live in Yeppoon so it was supposed to have been a nice treat but it was NOT! We didn't even end up sleeping there, we just used it as a base to get ready!
We paid $430 for the disappointment 😒
Oshen is, by far the most horrible accommodation we have ever been to....especially considering it was for our wedding/ honeymoon! I would rate Oshen lower than budget highway motels where you at least get what you pay for.
The whistle from the wind under the main door into the unit was so loud and unbearable that we used our own belongings to try to stop it, with no success.
The carpet and fixtures are old and warn, the towels are old and need replacing, didn't use them - wouldn't dry my dog with them!
The "king" size bed was 2 singles joined together leaving a massive hard lump in the centre, linen also well worn - couldn't sleep in it! Certainly not high end!
I was told when I booked that it would be a corner spa but it was a regular size tub instead, the grout in and around it was stained with mold, I had to go buy cleaning products and disinfectant and cleaned it myself before using it.
Management have not bothered to apologise or compensate as "no one else has complained about the room before or after our stay". (Supposedly)

I stayed in a one-bedroom apartment with a group from the UK, Australia, France and Italy. We received a warm welcome on arrival from Bill and Andrea who were very friendly and keen to ensure we were all settled in. I was delighted to find soft music playing, the TV on and low lighting when I opened the door to a spotlessly clean spacious and well-equipped apartment. The balcony had lovely views over the sea and I could drop all the blinds to ensure privacy. The spa bath was huge and someone had thoughtfully provided a handy step to climb into it. It was great to be able to make use of the washing machine and do some ironing. The heated swimming pool was a real bonus and complimentary coffee is provided in the little kitchen near reception. The apartments are in a great location for walking down to the local shops and restaurants, I'd recommend Vue Wine Bar (where the wagyu steak was delicious but huge!) and Lure for an amazing breakfast. The marine is a short drive where the Waterline Restaurant couldn't do enough for us. The Oshen Holiday Apartments are the perfect base to enjoy the stunning Capricorn Coast and access Great Keppel

3 night stay originally booked a studio apartment but upgraded to a 1 bedroom apartment. Studio not at all an 'apartment' & was not even the size of a hotel room in Brisbane! Upgrading was easy & staff very helpful & polite about it all. One bedroom was very well equipped with a view of the ocean across the road. Bathroom layout is with a shower over a spa bath, which is huge & corner cased in, so one has to climb over to get in! If you're not very agile or have any kind of disability this will not meet your needs! Oshen is situated on an incredibly steep hill...even though we are fit people it was challenging walking back up this! Great location to access coastal pathway & the lagoon.Good car parking, comfy beds & polite staff made for a welcoming stay overall.Thank you👌

I am writing to thank Andrea at reception. She was welcoming upon arrival and helped me plan my solo itinerary of Yeppoon. Andrea's recommendations for tours, lunch spots, cocktails and tapas and dinner venues were brilliant.
Other notes: My King Studio (partial ocean room) had a lovely ocean view and small balcony...perfect for afternoon relaxing and happy hour. There was a spa in the room with ocean view! Access to a shared laundry was also available.
There is a walk up the hill to Oshen but Andrea will advise the best ways and options.
Car parking is included.
There is a small pool, a lovely large area inside suitable for families (table tennis, board games set up etc), a BBQ area...
A great find indeed.
