Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Place was cleaned and the only holiday accommodation that actually had daily room service, no-other places Ramada, Mantra, no daily room service,Plenty of parking, quiet from outside noise, but hallway is loud and echoes when people are walking past talking, room is big and large bathroom.
Owners were freindly,

Downside Mattress felt old and loss of firmness, airconditioner was cold and warm was old and would just blow hot air at times.
Location was not in Yeppoon itself it was in between Cooee Bay and Yeppoon it was pretty much isolated by itself.

Thank you, for your review. We take pride in our motel and the comfort of our guests. We would have happily moved you to a different room had we been notified that the air conditioner wasn't working efficiently, especially in our climate. Although we are a 5 minute drive to the centre of town, we have a small supermarket and shops close by and we are closer to some of the quieter beaches that a lot of people enjoy.

Big room, big bathroom an altogether lovely place set in nice settings, with a more steakhouse restaurant conveniently next door and bottle store should you require them. There is a laundry on site also which we made good use of as we were touring by car. Very helpful couple ran the place, which when we were there , was empty as the virus was starting to bite on tourism, particularly fro China.

Recently needed to take a few days out of a busy holiday schedule for ourselves. Booked with coast motel because of its location. Close to everything we wanted to do. We needed a ground floor room for medical reasons and we were accommodated with that request. The room was spacious being set up as a disability friendly room. Our only negative, which was also a compliment to the cleaning staff, was the overpowering smell of bleach in the room when we checked in. Had to run the air conditioner on high, have the exhaust fan in the bathroom on and the room door partly open, for at least 30 minutes, to clear the smell. The biggest bonus was the lovely pool. It was a beautiful comfortable area and totally serene. Everyday, when i went for a relaxing time out in the pool, i was the only person and the pool temperature was beautiful. Because of the surrounding gardens, the strong winds that were happening in the area, were reduced to a gentle breeze. The owners and other staff are very helpful, easy and friendly to talk with and they made our stay a pleasure.

Thank you for taking the time to review our motel. Sorry about the strong bleach smell but as you say a compliment to the housekeepers and no doubt it was well sterilised which we are all aware of now with the way the world is. We will make sure we leave the doors open a little longer in cleaning the downstairs rooms to ventilate after cleaning. Sometimes it is not possible if we let guests in on early arrivals. Our pool area is fantastic and very peaceful to relax in the lovely surrounds. Thank you again for your review and pleased you enjoyed your stay with us .

Previous experience was good for this motel as noted by friends that attended a wedding at the attached Tavern, however Tavern was closed and there’s no where else to walk too for food or drinks or coffee or anything. $12-14 each way to take a taxi into Yeppoon. Declined any concession to simply extend our stay offering no need for any room cleaning etc to facilitate a negotiated extra night charge. Actually quoted MORE than if we booked another night on booking.com. Tried to explain but quickly shut down. We actually stayed in town with 360 degree ocean & city views within walking distance to everything for another week in the end and will be coming back every fortnight whilst looking to buy. Would recommend looking at the other options considering the service and location flaws we experienced with this property.

The Tavern is next door to the motel but we do not have any affiliation with the running of the Tavern. As the Motel has been very busy and rooms filling up quickly perhaps maybe we couldn't extend your room for another night as if available we are only to happy to extend our guests stay - as you say no need to clean. Also we are only to happy to quote under what booking.com charges so perhaps hadn't realised your booking had not been made direct with us.

I initially booked only one night, as the booking sites said that they only had vacancies on one night, which wasn't surprising as it was between Christmas and New Year and left booking to the last minute. On arriving, I enquired about the availability of an additional night, of which they were able to alter the booking to meet our requirements, Along with this request, I found the host the most friendly and accompanying couple (a down-to-earth country couple as I discovered after a chat),
I was very glad that I was able to say 2 nights as I found the room very modern and comfortable, with a great pool. As a bonus, there is a bottle shop and taven right next door, and a small shopping centre (with takeaways, a chemist, a grocery shop, etc) a minute's drive away. While this isn't in the main township, this is only a few minutes' drive away and this motel is in a handy quiet location for the whole region (ie travelling to sites up-down the coast). The motel is the electric scooter hire area, allowing you to travel around without using a car (and much more fun). Also, Yeppoon region is also a great place to relax and wander around. I would stay again.

The room was a good size and I had a balcony which basically overlooked the adjoining hotel, however once the balcony door was closed, there was no noise. Unfortunately my room had a door leading to the adjoining room and one night there were loud guests staying there. The rooms are cleaned daily and the location is handy enough if you don’t want to walk to Yeppoon. The reception staff were welcoming and helpful.

The room was really spacious and modern. We were enjoying our stay till the smoke alarm went off at 4am on our last night and was buzzing every 30 seconds. We reported it to the owners who opened reception at 7am at 6.30. They came and took out the battery but it still went off at 6.45 they put a new battery in but it still went off. I did inform them but no other action was taken and no compensation was offered

One of only a few hotels I have not asked for a late check out at. Absolutely disgusting, overpowering smell of sewerage coming from the bathroom and hits you straight away when coming back to your room after a day out. As such, spent as little time as possible in the room. Reception always closed when I went to report it. No sleep due to the noise from other guests returning from the pub at 1-2am banging on doors and shouting. Location is not great - too far from Yeppoon centre but it’s handy for Rosslyn Bay ferries etc. Room is large and clean, bed is not the comfiest but certainly not the worst. I just can’t get over the awful smell so will not be returning and have to leave a low rating as a result.

Thank you for taking the time to review. We do apologise for the smell in the room, however if this was bought to our attention we could have fixed this problem, reception at our motel is always open between the hours of 7am to 7pm if there is nobody behind the desk there is a call bell as we would only be a few steps away. As for the noise up the hallway again if we are told about these problems on the night they occur we do try our best to stop this from happening. We do hope that one day we will see you again.

This was a very clean motel with a family atmosphere. The owners were very friendly and accommodating and obviously took pride in their property. The breakfast was fresh, varied and inviting. Although a little out of the main shopping area, a car would solve that problem. There is a tavern close by for meals.

Stayed 1 night at The Coast Motel. Very clean, comfortable and spacious. Staff are very friendly and happy to answer questions of the area.

Location is very close to the A1, yet you can easily drive into town to visit the restaurants on the beach.
