A wonderful, relaxing location.. Once you can get past the expense of the ferry and camping fees this is in its raw just a brilliant location. The camping ground is clean and very friendly. The beach has access to both sides of Adder Rock and has something for everyone, from swimming, lazing around, surfing or fishing..... we spent one afternoon...

Adder & Cylinder are good, but avoid Home Beach. It's like a run down trailer park from a horror movie. Why do they run bright orange street lamps all night at a camp ground? Had to buy an extra tarp to block out the light & get some sleep. It's next to the island's main road too, buses & trucks...

First visit to Stradbroke, camped at Adder Rock. Amenities were good, beach fabulous as was the whole Island. Wild life everywhere however did complain about the undesirable rats that would abound once dark & run over the top of tent & even chew there way through the fly! Rats can be a real problem & having lived & worked on...

Part of me doesn't want to say how great Adder Rock is as I love it as it is so quiet. The bathrooms are great, the barbeque areas are fantastic, right next to the beach (or right on the beach if you like, there are pros and cons to both). Great morning surfing for the surfers, enough out of the...

Nice place to stay very friendly people. We stayed at Adder Rock camp ground which was great, right on the beach. Only complaint is the site was very gravely and uncomfortable to walk and sleep on. Some people from an unpowered site were also using power from our site using a super long extension cord. Bit annoying considering they didn't...

We have just returned from another excellent holiday camping at the Amity Point Camping ground. We love the relaxed atmosphere, the beautiful beaches and the abundance of wildlife. The island has so much to offer and we love to drive on the beaches, go to the inland freshwater lakes, and explore the shops and restaurants. There is always the fishing...

Wonderful stay at the Amity Point Campsite. We had a whole area to ourselves with water views. The first night a koala walked across the road not more than 10 metres away. There's about two koalas that hang around - look up into the gum trees at the entry to the park. We stayed right near the water and could...

We stayed in a cabin, it was clean and compact and it had air-conditioning and a bathroom. It was not on the beach front which I was a bit disappointed about but overall a well equipped lodge. My first time on Straddie though I felt it was a little far from where any real "action" was IE shops, restaurants bakery...

This site has recently reopened and we are so glad that it was the only one available for the dates we picked as it is so much quieter than any other camp site on Nth Straddie. So easy to book, easy checkin and out (even after hours), well maintained, close to skate bowl and shops. It is very windy on...
