I was immediately in love with the Spanish style architecture and the grounds. The view from the car park side is a bit grim but from the immaculately kept kidney pool and garden side the deep balconies, with their white arches are utterly charming. We were in Unit 12 with a small gathering of four friends. The apartment is huge,...

We stayed in unit 15 a 1 bedroom unit. The decor is very outdated yellow marble washed walls. It is in need of a renovation. The bathroom /laundry has recently had new tiles on the wall. Unfortunately the housekeeping is not up to scratch. The doors and door frames need a good clean food example of this we found food...

Comfortable bed, good hot water, clean, refurbished bathroom, good kitchenette, good AC, good TV, but wasps building many nests outside window, no bedside lamps, washer but no dryer, cheap crockery and cutlery - none matching, no complementary shampoo or conditioner - a first for a resort, no mobile phone reception.

Just booked into the Islander this week at last minute and have to admit Ray White Stradbroke were amazing. The room was very nice but limited in cooking facilities and the hotel was oldish on the outside. The pool area was nice and it's in an ok location but have to walk to get to beach. We didn't spend much...

The resort is old but extremely clean and well maintained. We had a 2 bedroom apartment which was really spacious and the kitchen is well stocked with crockery cutlery etc. Enjoyed the large deck with views of the fantastic pool. Only and easy stroll to the beach. The only down side was one bathroom with separate toilet. Would definitely stay...

I stayed here for 4 nights recently and really enjoyed it. I was wary of staying here as the reviews are not great, which is why I thought I'd add a good review because I think the rooms are all quite different. We had a 1 bdr apt on the ground floor. It was perfect - except the door connecting...

We stayed in a studio appartment with a connecting door. We could hear quite clearly people talking, their television, when they were using dishes, having a shower and flushing the toilet. One night we were woken at 11pm by talking and laughing by several people from next door, it sounded like they were in the same room as us. Maybe...

The most friendly staff. Arrived late after hours and the guy was still there waiting for the last guests. Got some games and a lot of tips for the trip that was just great. If you're with Vodafone it won't work in most places of straddie. Internet only works at the entrance of the building so it didn't work from...
