Pleasant motel within walking distance of the park and the beautiful center of the town of Maryborough. Nice, clean and spacious room (queen bed and single bed). A bit dated looking. Comfortable beds, mini fridge, microwave and kettle in the room, as well as plates, cutlery, glasses and cups. Even dishwashing liquid and a drying cloth are provided.
There is a breakfast cafe and a restaurant at this motel, but not always open.
Parking in front of the room under a roof.

We've spent far too much money staying in run down tired country motels and have reviewed them accordingly. McNevin's was very different. For context, we had one of the renovated rooms so I rcan't comment on any rooms that haven't been renovated.

As soon as we opened the door we were immediately impressed with how fresh, modern and clean the room was. This could almost have been a room in a modern 4 star city hotel. It was well furnished with a comfy bed and quiet AC. The bathroom was particularly impressive. The stocked mini bar had drinks and snacks at very reasonable prices. Service was good and friendly.

Well done guys! This is one of the very best motels that we have stayed in in recent years and we stay in a lot of motels.

I recently spent a night in Maryborough for work. I stayed at McNevins, located on the corner of John and Walker Streets.

My room was large and spacious, with a comfortable queen sized bed and an extra bed that could be pulled out from the wall if needed. There was a fridge, a well stocked mini-bar and tea and coffee making facilities in the room, together with a small round dining table and a desk.

Breakfast (which was delicious!) was available onsite from 630am in a small light filled dining room overlooking the pool, and room service is available too.

McNevins has a more formal on-site restaurant that serves dinner and is also available for functions.

The motel has parking right outside the door of each room.

The staff on reception were friendly and accommodating.

I would not hesitate to recommend McNevins if you are staying in Maryborough.

We stopped in at Maryborough to visit family on our way back home. We stayed at this motel - McNevins and found it excellent.
We have two young children 2 1/2 yrs and an 8mth old. The motel was really well presented, very clean and tidy, all the staff were very attentive and made us feel very welcome.
We ate breakfast both mornings and it was great. The Eggs Benedict were perfectly done and the staff are very accommodating.
We ate dinner at the main restaurant 1 night, I had steak which was delicious and my wife had the crispy Salmon - all excellent.
If you're in the Maryborough area and need accommodation, Stay at McNevins - Highly recommended.

I visited Maryborough for a function being held in your restaurant, I also stayed in your motel. I was very pleasantly surprised by both the food and wonderful service at the dinner and the room stay!
First your staff were very pleasant and wonderful and the food, wow, everybody was so impressed with the entire 3 courses.
Our hostesses went above and beyond with excellent service.
The room stay was also great! Very clean and comfortable. Bed was perfect for my liliking. Car park at the front door, large TV and good facilities including a mini bar!
Breakfast was also delicious (favourite eggs benny)
I highly recommend this facility to both eating and staying.

I booked a room here while traveling for business. I was a little concerned about the proximity of the parking lot, but it was absolutely not a problem. The room was really clean, the bed very comfortable. I had a great nights sleep and no noise from the outside. The food in the restaurant is really good, cold beer in the pub is always good too.

In my opinion, this place is old, tired, outdated, dilapidated, worn out, and pathetic. I can’t even explain how bad it is! The front desk staff was rude, unpleasant, nasty, unhelpful, and acted like they were doing me a giant favour allowing me to stay here. They should practise some kind of civility to customers. The housekeeping staff was very nice and diligent. Though that couldn’t make up for the front desk people. The shower water pressure was a trickle, the bed was so uncomfortable and the furnishings were ancient. I will never, ever stay here again!

Arrived late but were still able to check in. Rooms had a "Nursing Home" kind of look, but I actually liked the design and layout. There were lots of supplies and we were asked if we wanted or needed anything - which was the first time after 10 other hotels in the last 2 weeks - that anyone had actually asked us! Very comfortable stay.

Sharon and Glen, are fantastic hosts and the accomodation is highly recommended. The accomodation is very comfortable and all requests, including a quiet room were accommodated. The location and service is excellent and the restaurant is very nice and great food. Glen even drove me to the airport when the taxi didn't turn up - thank you again. Breakfast was great, highly recommend the pancakes!

I was very disappointed on my road trip to end up in Maryborough, but the owners of this motel really turned things around for me. She was so helpful and told me about all the good spots. The motel itself is very nice, everything you could need, clean, comfortable. I slept like a baby, there were no annoying lights or noise. If you’re going to be stuck anywhere, at least get yourself in somewhere nice where they take care of you.
