We like traveling from Hervey Bay and frequently enjoy a weekend lunch. In this lovely old worldly pub. Friendly family owned hotel - nice choose of beer on tap .A few local ones Eumundi -Bagarra [ Red ale?] But the big bonus is my wife is a celiac and the menu caters for her.....plus the kitchen staff are very helpful. Hopefully they may [ renovate] have accomodation that caters for us older folk - so we can have a few quite ales.

The P O has a great menu, I love their trio of tacos, not your ordinary tacos but a lovely combination of traditional tacos, but the Lychee Liquor Daiquiri’s are amazing This Hotel in in the centre of Maryborough, and as the name suggests is near our beautiful Post Office.

Decided to try this place after reading some great reviews on Facebook well I wish I hadn't. Seated quickly, restaurant was fairly empty so thought we would get served quite quickly well that wasn't the case, it took 1/2 an hour to order then another 1/2 hr to recieve our disappointing food. Ordered the San Choy Bau lettuce cups that I heard about & are an absolute favorite of mine when I'm overseas well they were virtually inedible they were drowning with soy sauce which made them extremely salty & it was bad as I'm a lover of lots of salt. I ordered tacos & if your a lover of lots of sauce you may like these as they were drowning in sauces, I think over 50% of it was sauce. Prices arnt cheap & no lunch specials, renovations weren't amazing, still felt like I was dining at a cheap pub but not paying pub food prices. Told the waitress of our disappointment where she informed me the usual chef wasn't on. She said she would pass the feedback onto the manager but no one said anything to me as I paid & left so obviously they were not to concerned. Well what a shame, I will not be back!

Delicious food and friendly staff. The deluxe parmy was awesome. And unlike any other I have had. The fish cakes were also fantastic.
Not too expensive and was recommended to us by a local who said it was the best food in the area. She wasn't wrong.

We were recommended to come here from the Gent in the Tourist Info shop, glad we took his advice as the food was amazing. Well cooked, I had the Steak sandwich which is usually a dud but this one was perfect. Great prices and friendly staff. I had a cocktail which I didn't expect to be so big so that was nice!
It was very quiet when we went in on Thursday afternoon, and not really much to look at but don't let that put you off. Meals were huge in size and the price was excellent.

We had been travelling and needed somewhere to stay in the middle of town at short notice - the PO fit the bill! The staff were friendly and the nightly rates were cheap enough. We met some colourful locals and had a good stay!

We stopped in here for lunch today at 12.30. We ordered chicken schnitzel and a beef burger from a restricted menu of 6 dishes. I'd say around 30 people were waiting in the dining room, outdoor area and bar. 1pm came and the kitchen closed due to who knows what-incompetence springs to mind! I watched a couple of dreadful meals come out one by one to other tables-burned rissoles, over fried schnitzels with frozen mixed veg and at 1.15 got up and asked for our money back. The young boy at the bar said "I don't think so-the kitchen is just under stress" (or words similar). However the lovely manager gave me our money back without a question when I asked to see her. This one star is for her and her good grace.

On our road trip, we went through Marlborough and decided to stop and stretch at the local pub. We met Chelsi, also known as Bubbles, the lovely young lady behind the bar. Her smile and energy could light up any room. We did not expect such lovely conversation and she was basically a source of information for all the events that Marlborough holds yearly.
She could be the best ambassador of the town! The cold drinks we had while chatting with her, were a bonus!
