Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The staff were truly lovely and very helpful. They made us feel really welcome. Some of the amazing things about this park are, Monday & Wednesday & Friday they have a bar from 4 p.m. in the extraordinary and super functional camp kitchen complete with flat screen TV's (yes 3 all up), Wednesday market place where people sell their wares, this combined with the bar being open and the sausage sizzle, called prawns and bangers, happening is so atmospheric. Sometimes they have people singing. When there is a football/rugby game on almost everyone goes to the camp kitchen area and watches the game having a few drinks and food. They sell delicious prawns, cooked or raw (frozen). There is a book swapping station and some dvd's to watch. The ablutions are always nice and clean and all the washing machines work (we all know how many times there is an "out of order" sign of caravan park washing machines). Also the pool area is lovely and well maintained. All up an amazing caravan park. Thanks again for our awesome stay.

We stayed for 5 nights In a big powered site with a big rig at $39pn. The service is really good here - it’s the only CP where we’ve been walked to our site and given a proper induction on arrival about connections and amenities! Fantastic! It’s a ten minute walk to the sunset tavern. Lots of good local knowledge here and a well equipped fish cleaning station. Nice and quiet. Didn’t use the pool but it looks lovely. Everything is clean and looked after. Definitely recommend 👍

We enjoyed our stay in one of their cabins. It was relatively new, very clean and functional. Wi-fi is only available at the restaurant. Food and beverage pricing was "above average" relative to other places in Karumba.

Other than these 2 minor niggles we enjoyed our stay - it met our needs and was reasonable price value.

Whilst this is a clean and well presented establishment we had our holiday ruined there by a large neighbouring group of noisy drunken guests, partying into the evening. These same drunks had accused us of 'speeding' in the park, one of them stumbling over with glass of wine in hand and abusing us. Then, whilst enjoying the famous sunset, we received an unbelievable phone call from the manager complaining that we had driven at 20 km per hour in the park! How these drunks could estimate anything was implausible. This pettifogging and ridiculous treatment left us incredulous. Would not recommend this place.

Ros in the front office was friendly, efficient and helpful. Thanks for the delicious prawns..The amenities, camp kitchen were spotless. The sites were large with concrete pads and some with shade. However I can only give 3 stars today as the male cleaner could have been more polite and friendly instead of saying agressively a meter from my face” read the sign”.

Just spent 3 nights here in a deluxe cabin, chilling out.
Wow, just about everything you could wish for in the kitchen cupboards
Hubby got excited when he saw the slow cooker on the photos so of course we brought some lamb shanks with us!!
Very clean cabins with plenty of crockery, cutlery and cooking untensils. Comfortable bed and a great shower.
Nice little deck to relax on.
The managers here are so friendly and helpful, obviously enjoy their job.
The whole place is well maintained and appealing.
#1 place to stay. Thankyou for a great stay

We booked and paid online for an unpowered tent site for one night. Lucky we didn't do two. When we arrived staff were friendly but informed us we owed another $10 for an extra child. We checked our booking it had both our two children. They claimed it was an error on their booking system. I'm still confused. So we paid a dollar more than their powered site in the end $47. For a site right on the highway next to the camp kitchen. Yep confused.
My daughter didnt feel welcome to use the pool as there was a bunch of teens in it. Not real kid friendly place.

We kept our dog tethered all night and walked him on leash yet in the morning a long term resident came to our camp. We thought she wanted to pat our border collie but she made him creep up and then made a point we weren't holding his leash and it was park rules. Wtf. It was because her doberman barks at anything going past. Who does that. Very happy to leave. The vans all looked packed in with no view and tiny slab.

Fabulous short stay at Kurumba here in the Karumba Point Tourist Park. Very friendly and welcoming staff made our stay very enjoyable. Several Park activities gave guests a chance to mingle and participate - mini- market, happy hours, bocce, bingo, etc. Having seafood available for sale on site, particularly the fresh prawns an added bonus

2 of the onsite vans are more modern and as per Rachel's comment the ensuite villas are new. The onsite vans are in close proximity to the shared amenities and the villas have their own ensuites.
Answer from KPTP2018

Hi, as per Kerry's answer the villas cost $120/nt for up to 2 persons, children 12yrs and under stay free, children 13-16yrs incl an additional $10/ch/nt, and extra adults (17yrs & up) are an additional $15pp/nt. One villa has a QN & 2xSngls, and the other 3 villas have a QN and a set of bunks that has DBL at the bottom and a SNGL at the top. Please call the park for booking enquiries as in accordance with health and safety regulation there is a limit on the number of people permitted per villa. Enquiries can be made by calling 07 4745 9306 or email us
