The front of the motel has a pleasant outdoor seating area overlooking the gulf, and offering a superb view of sunset. We were served breakfast and dinner there as part of our tour package. Can’t comment on whether this is available to other guests.
There is a hotel next door, with the same outlook from its front garden, serving lunch and dinner.
It is true that the room itself was huge, but everything really was old/ dated, especially the A/C. And you should be aware you will be unable to alter your A/C because there is no remote. Not a bad idea really but would have liked to have know beforehand.
A big disappointment was late in the afternoon we wanted a drink. We wanted to have a drink around 5pm in the garden and the guy behind the counter said, sorry drinks only with meals. OK we said we will do that. Don't bother he replied, we are fully booked.....fully booked always. Loved the attitude.
The area itself looked like it needed a good clean down anyway.
Next door is a pub so we just spent our time there. Great food, great staff, great views. Just used to hotel for the room and spent our money elsewhere.
There is no doubt that the location was the best. Directly opposite the sea. with a stunning sunset on our last night. The lady at reception was very nice, it's a pity that the rest left us somewhat disappointed.
Couldnt get Wifi in room, only at Reception area.
The end of the road rooms are showing their age, however they are always clean and tidy and well equipped.
We stay in the single bedroom which is quiet and spacious.
You can walk easily to the tavern, to the onsite restaurant, or across the road to ashes.
I would stay again and again for a short stint.
We have stayed here before and it is always very Beautiful.
the one bedroom unit was clean and spacious, there is plenty of parking, and the service was very very friendly.
there was milk for coffee and tea and a small very useable kitchenet,
there was a shower and toilet which was also nice and clean
the airconditioning worked well
The bed was comfy.
the locations is great being just next to the sunset tavern.
I used to book the rooms directly onto the beach, however I also very much enjoy the slightly quieter one bedroom units.
will stay again

A Tapas themed restaurant behind the motel and open to the public.
We’d been told about this place but had trouble finding it as it’s tucked away behind the motel overlooking the Norman River heads and Sunset Point.
We ended up stumbling across it and sat down to have a relaxing drink and take in the awesome views.
We watched the staff cooking the meals on the BBQ behind the bar or in the Pizza oven and were impressed with the TLC they were taking, so we ordered a Greek Lamb Pizza for $22. It was amazing. After that we vowed to return for a main meal.
Today we did just that. And to say it was superb wouldn’t do it justice.
My wife ordered the ‘Mixed Grill’ which consisted of fresh local Barramundi, Moreton Bay Bugs and fresh local Tiger Prawns. A huge meal for $40.
I ordered the Rib Eye Steak with Creamy Garlic Prawns.
Both meals were cooked to perfection and were delivered by friendly happy staff.
The restaurant is all outdoor and the sunset views are spectacular.
I can’t recommend this spot highly enough. We will return.
Location is great with a seating area overlooking the Norman river and perfect for watching the setting sun.
There is also a cafe- restaurant.
Next door is the hotel & restaurant.
The manager is very pleasant and helpful.
Would definitely recommend.

What did we get?
The second last room with views out of the sliding doors towards a brick wall.
The room was dark and we didnt enjoy our stay at all.
The room itself was huge, with a small kitchenette, but everything was old/ dated, especially the A/C. It also couldnt be adjusted and had no remote. It was set i believe on 23 degrees.
Although the dining chairs, table, daybed and Tv Cabinet looked kind of new
Bath Towels were thin and the tea towel smelled.
The Location was the Best. Directly opposite the Sea. Beautiful Sunsets at night.
We wanted to have a drink around 5pm in the garden and the girl behind the counter said, sorry Drinks only with meals. Come back around 5.30.
Couldnt believe this. They are missing out on an opportunity.
Staff was friendly, the Pool area looked clean....
Couldnt get Wifi in room, only at Reception area.
