I stay here several times each year whilst visiting family as I love having access to an en-suite, good nights uninterrupted sleep and a convenient location at a value for money price.

The bathroom has been newly renovated and jug, toaster and bench top are useful for those who like to make their own basic meals whilst travelling. The pool is also a plus and the motel is only two blocks from a large shopping centre. The beds are comfortable enough and the air con isn’t overly noisy. Definitely a value for money location though I always have the back rooms near the pool so not to be on the relatively main road.

Stayed for 1 night during the highland gathering and everywhere was booked up. Was really and honestly pleasantly surprised. For a budget motel it was great value. Room was really clean and spacious for family of 4. Owner was freindly. Beds were comfy and room was warm given how chilly it was outside
All in all... brilliant budget accom. Definitely stay again.
( tho probably wont be buying a coffee from the hippy supermarket/cafe across road again... not good!)

Decided to stay here after being quoted $360 a night for Metro Ipswich for motor racing weekend. The Metro it is not but neither is the price. $99.00 per night. Clean tidy rooms and our stay was very comfortable. Excellent cooked breakfast for $8.00. Overall we found this motel to be very good value for money and will be back next year.

Booked for airshow. Airshow cancelled 5 days before........ Motel refuses to give ANY refund. Very poor customer relations, very poor. Would never book again. Plenty of notice given. Even a partial refund should be given.

We stayed here for three nights while visiting friends in Ipswich. Were very happy! It was extremely clean, pretty comfortable and had pretty much everything you'd need (except shampoo as I forgot mine). Great location - short walk to Riverlink Shopping Centre, a great playground directly across the road, lots of places to eat and get takeaway from really close, and its not far from the Highway to go for a trip to Brisbane or The Gold Coast etc.
We paid $99 a night for a triple room (Myself, my husband and our 1.5 year old daughter) and the room was very spacious! Daughter was able to spread her toys out and run around in the room, so she was happy which is a good thing!
The only issue I had was it was a little noisy - you could hear some noise as it is on a main road (which I am fine with) but you can also hear the people in the rooms next to you sometimes depending how loud they were. Not a huge deal though.
Will definately stay again if we are ever in Ipswich again, and recommend it to others.

We needed a place to stay on a business trip just somewhere to put our head.
The motel is old and a bit tired but don't let that put you off. The room was clean and tidy and enough room to park off the street. Go for the rooms out the back as you are away from the main road noise.
Just a short walk to the club for dinner was a bonus

We stayed at the Motel Monaco 2 nights. Even so the third bed was only used the second night when our son joined us, I was charged the full rate as if using three beds. For that third person there were no towels, and as we used the motel only for sleeping, we did not want to complain at 11pm. Will look for other accommodation in future.

My partner and i had just reunited after spending time travelling. We needed a place to just chill out and catch up with no one else. First impression, this is great for what we wanted and way worth the money. It's just your average motel set up with the bare essentials. Staff were friendly. Oh, and it was close to takeaways and such. But it might be better for you if you know your way around Ipswich like we did :)

Walked into reception to book a room for 3 nights whilst work was beeing done on our caravan. Waited for over 10 mins before someone came to counter even after pressing the bell. I asked if a room was available for the the 3 nights and was told yes. Inthe process of information I advised my partner has an assistance dog. I was told no dogs allowed. I was told not pet friendly motel. After a discussion about the situation was told we could stay with a 100 dollar pet bond. Consequently I didn't book the room and went elsewhere.

We stayed for 2 nights and am not disappointed.

The gentleman who checked us in was very friendly and happy to answer our questions and give advice on places to eat.

The rooms, although dated, were clean, comfortable and quiet.

The Motel is on the main road, and as a light sleeper, I was worried, but I hardly heard the road noise at all.

There are eateries and a shopping centre close by.

Would recommend Motel Monaco for your short trips to Ipswich.
