Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Good Queensland pub serving great size meals. Two of us had the beef burger which was a fine grain mince with lots of flavour and size. Another had the fish chips salad that was delicious and also a good size. Xxxx pints for $6 made this lunch well priced. Loses a star because of service had to wait for good five minutes to be seated with no one in front of us and slow bar service. Overall worth dropping in if in the area.

Staff we helpful and friendly, room small but tidy. Shared facilities are adequate. Would have liked block out blinds on the windows to reduce light at night. However for the price I can not complain.

The room was cute and all I needed to get some sleep. The bathrooms were on the verandah in the outside air - so rather cold and not very private. It was the start of the week so not too busy or loud. The weekend would be a bit insane as events/djs etc are downstairs.

Went there for dinner on Saturday night, not busy in the dining area, which should have been my first clue. We had eaten there about 8 months ago and it was very busy.
When I went to order our meals I had to tell the fool behind the bar what we wanted 3 times, (clue 2), ordered drinks and a separate staff member continued to have a chat with another customer while serving me.
We then waited over 45 minutes for our meal, which when it came out was the wrong one, completely wrong order, (clue 3).
When the correct order came out mine was inedible, even the army cooks couldn't stuff up a crumb steak and chips, but they did! (clue 4).
Didn't eat the meal and left. I have now spent most of the last 10 hrs not far from the toilet.
Not happy for some reason.

Three of us went for a meal last night and we were all disappointed with them. $24 for a small schnitzel with tasteless vegetables and salads. The honey mustard dressing wasn’t great either. The sauces were bland although the gravy was okay given it tasted like the Maggi gravy from the supermarket.

We’ve all been to pubs for food over many years and this would definitely not rate as a good one. Definitely can’t recommend until they do something about the quality of food. The service itself was fine, just the food quality left a lot to be desired.

Listened to Loud music from the Games room most nights until 2 oclock .Smelt smoke from the smoking area regularly .The staff said they had to play loud music to keep the Punters awake ...too bad about the Guests who had paid for a nights sleep..Staff were friendly but not good at turning the music down..
Wont recommend this Pub to anyone unless they are insomniacs.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was clean and we were pleasantly surprised with the supply of a Continental Breakfast.. The room was easily accessible after hours. We would definitely stay there again.

This old hotel with a view still had modern features like an air-con with heating. The room was comfy and clean, the staff friendly and you're right near takeaways, restaurants and a supermarket. So overall a great place to rest.
