Great apartment, very very spotless and maintained, friendly staff, great views, all modern appliances, great location way up on the hills, you have your own private balcony, terrific pool, accessibility to shoping and restraunts 2 minute walk. Only one suggestion, turn up the water pressure a little a 3 minute shower takes 10 minutes
Stayed in Oceans Three apartments which is managed by Rainbow Sea. Wow, wow and wow. Every single little thing you could wish for and more. It’s a luxurious apartment with plenty of space for 6 people. Easy walk into Rainbow Beach where there are lots of options for coffee/drinks/ dinner. Do yourself a favour and book a week. 2 days is definitely not long enough.
I go to Rainbow Beach regularly for holidays and have always stayed at Plantation (I think I've stayed there 7-8 times at this point). This trip, I happened to check Rainbow Sea and it was literally hundreds of dollars cheaper for my dates so decided to give it a try - this may have been a special price as I booked very last minute. Very happy I did! This review will be a lot of comparing to Plantation. The unit itself was spotlessly clean, even the outdoor balcony area - the last few times I've stayed at Plantation, the windows, shutters and penthouse level were pretty dusty/dirty/grimy so this is welcome change and I was super impressed. The glass railings around the balcony were spotless! The layout of unit 8 (a second floor unit) is much like any 3 bedroom unit; a good size with two bathrooms. There is vacuum in the unit which was so nice as I could clean up any sand inadvertently tracked in right away (plantation does not have vacuums in the rooms). The living room furniture (as in most holiday units) is a little tired, but clean and comfortable. The outdoor lounges are long overdue for replacement, though - I made them work for me but they are missing screws and bolts. The outdoor dining set was serviceable, but a little chipped up and cheap looking. The balcony of these units are what make them so special. The position of the building is perfect so you never have the sun blasting into the unit no matter time of day and there's plenty of shade from a vaulted roof. Not to mention the view for miles! I don't think I would personally bother paying extra for a penthouse level as the view from level two was so good - this is in direct contrast to Plantation where you MUST book a penthouse if you want a view better than "glimpses" of ocean and where the sun pours in for two or three hours a day so you must close the blinds during that time. Overall, I spent WAY more time relaxing and reading out on the balcony at Rainbow Sea than I do at Plantation because it's just a more comfortable and usable space. It's also whisper quiet at night with nothing but the sound of the ocean. It's about a 3 minute walk down the hill into town; I actually kind of liked the walk as I got my 10,000 steps in each day without much effort (hard to do on holiday!) If you have mobility issues, Plantation is better since everything is right out your front door. That being said, the walk is really nothing to worry about. The pool was lovely with an infinity edge, maybe better suited to adults; my kids prefer the pool and hot tub ("warm tub" is probably a better description) at Plantation. One other thing - the mattresses were EXTRA FIRM. Wow, my back did not like it, but luckily I brought a soft blanket from home which I folded in half and put under the sheet. Problem solved. Overall, I really loved this place! I think I would actually give it the edge over Plantation due to the expansive balcony (honestly, it's breathtaking) but I will probably just check prices at both and go with the less expensive option as they both have pros and cons. Bottom line: if a great view is your #1 priority, book here as all the rooms have a perfect position.…
Rainbow Sea resort is amazing. My family and I stayed in a three bedroom apartment. The apartment was very clean and offered views of the stunning Rainbow Beach coastline. The staff were very friendly and the price was very reasonable. I would definitley recommend a stay at Rainbow Sea Resort.
From our original booking to our arrival everything was dealt with in a friendly and efficient manner. The unit (7) is honestly just spectacular and so well maintained. It has everything you need with the most beautiful views. Even the windows were spotless . Only complaint if one can call it that - Austar was supplied but it is not the full package - sport was missing , much to my hubbys disappointment. The pool was great too. The location is perfect so easy to get to the restaurants, shops and pubs and short walk to the beach. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to relax and just unwind and enjoy the beauty Rainbow Beach has to offer.
