We stayed two nights and enjoyed our stay very much. Beautiful room with views over Rainbow Beach, a short walk into town. The room was a beautiful apartment with nice modern furniture and so much space. Space everywhere. Spacious room, spacious lounge room, kitchen, huge deck. Sitting in the spa bath looking out over the view was delightful.

Undercover carpark and plenty of space for taller 4wd parking as well.

The staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful. I can't wait to go back.

Thanks

Keith & Megan

not really up to standard for a 5 star hotel. there were no amenities packs no hairdryers bathrooms were moldy carpet was worn all the way through furniture was old and used had stains on it that couldn't be removed, dishwasher in the kitchen didn't work which is awful with children we were given no extra washing up liquid either you aren't supplied with bin bags so be prepared to bring all kitchen amenties or youll have to go buy them.
great location and you could walk everywhere however some other guest were burning incense so we couldn't sit on the balcony
the car park was also very very tight we had to get out of the car outside with all our things then my husband had to drive in and park it then he had to crawl over to the passenger side to exit the car which was very very annoying.
staff were very friendly but I expected better for the money we paid.

Rainbow Sea Resort.

My husband and I spent 3 nights in a King Suite at these apartments for our anniversary and I must say the only problem was that we didn’t want to leave. As soon as we walked into our apartment, we are like WOW! Relaxing music was playing and the view was amazing overlooking wide bay and to top it off it was beautiful clear sunny weather.

The apartment was very modern and the décor contemporary and highly tasteful. The kitchen was fully equipment and we definitely took advantage of it as we cooked most of our meals there. The bedroom was lovely also overlooking the bay. The bed was a little hard and pillow a bit too high but we got use to it. The bathroom was great it had a huge spa bath, which was wonderful to relax in after spending the day at the beach. The balcony was large which was fully furnished with outdoor furniture. The only issue with the balcony is that it was quite dirty, the floor was covered with dust/dirt and the furniture was also dusty and had a few bird droppings on it. It was a bit annoying having to spend 30 mins sweeping and cleaning the balcony and furniture as soon as we got there as we wanted to spend time relaxing on the balcony through out our stay which we did and how could you not when you had fantastic weather like we did. We ate our breakfast and relaxed drinking wine in the evenings on the balcony admiring the amazing view. The complex also has a pool its only a medium size pool that we used once but it was always busy with kids.

The apartment complex is located on the hill overlooking the bay. It is within a 5-10min walking distance to the pristine beaches and shops. The shopping village is only small but has a Foodworks grocery store if you need to restock supplies and also a bottle shop. There is also a few cafes and restaurants. There is the Beach Hotel where you can dabble in some pub food or a little hidden gem called Acrobaleno. We definitely recommend Arcobaleno they specialise in Italian cuisine and it is delicious. The restaurant is found behind the Beach hotel, the décor is unique and fun and the service is quick and friendly.

Rainbow beach is known for it’s fishing and camping ventures, as well as the gateway to Fraser Island. Whilst at Rainbow beach be sure to trek to the Carlo Sandblow, a large sand plan where you can watch the amazing sunset and for those interested in extreme sports there is parasailing and skydiving available.

We had a really great relaxing time blessed with gorgeous weather. All and all we definitely would come back to Rainbow Sea Resort and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in luxury at Rainbow beach.

Unfortunately, I hadn't read the negative reviews before I booked our stay at the Rainbow Sea Resort. While our suite had stunning views over the ocean and was attractively decorated in a Hamptons/beachy style, as shown in the promotional photos, those were the only positives. The bathroom and kitchen were in dire need of a thorough deep clean; there was grime and black mould in the bathroom, and a very unpleasant smell in the kitchen.
I should also point out that, although the Resort's website states that guests can book tours at the front desk, this is no longer the case.

We contacted reception at 9am and asked for some toilet paper and were told it would be brought to the apartment. By 3.30 pm it had still not been delivered and we left and note at the reception desk asking for some to be delivered as there was nobody there. At 5.30 we went back down to ask again and they had gone home. We phoned the 24 hour number who also could not help.
The service is non existent and surely the delivery of a couple of toilet rolls is not that hard.

When I am paying hundreds of dollars per night, I expect the premises to be meticulously clean and just having that punch that you have received your money's worth. I instantly noticed the cleaning standard especially for this price tag was definitely below par. Gecko poo on kitchen bench, floor felt grubby under feet, 2nd bathroom floor had not be swept nor mopped therefore everyone used the one bathroom. Blood stain on couch not cleaned. Couch is grubby and requires a good leather clean. Refrigerator should be cleaned and thoroughly wiped after each guest. Not finding crumbs within. External fridge requires a hot soapy wash. Cook top dirty and underneath couch dirty. Inside kitchen drawers have food crumbs and cutlery, crockery feel oily to touch and you can see handprints on items. Cups and plates have chips. Beautiful large external balcony ideal but outdoor furniture filthy covered in dust. How can one sit outside and enjoy the beautiful views when you know your clothing is getting dirty. Fortunately master bedroom was clean and all bed linen clean. There must be a communication breakdown bw client, management and cleaners bc it appears we are not the only ones who have complained. Apart from the beautiful views, lovely size, quiet building, location this is not worth the sky high price tag.

Found this place to be far to over priced. The staff are rude and I think not used to the busy period. It seemed like we were a bother staying there and we actually didn't even have any requests and could of made several complaints about the state of the room. The room was showing a lot of signs of wear and tear and not like the photos the furniture is worn and dirty the carpet in patches very gross. The sea air has taken its toll on this place.
But the staff were non existent no one is ever at the counter even in opening hours and the times we did see them they were rude and not helpful at all. We will not be a back and will look elsewhere next year.

Stayed here at the end of September. It was a family weekend away with three adult couples. It was my parents staying with me & my husband, my brother & his fiance and we spent a long weekend there. It was just what we wanted. We had the penthouse booked to ensure we had the open air rooftop. Upon first entering the room we were blown away with the views. I think we were in room 11, but dont quote me on that. The only thing I would mention is that it wasn't as clean as one would expect for such an establishment. The floors were a bit dirty, and things not cleaned that well. Apart from that no complaints, upon checking in the lady was very helpful and assisted in giving us an extra carpark as we had 3 cars to park, so two of them we were able to get in the secure carpark which was greatly appreciated.
And just be warned there are no Barbecues. We found the Surf Club and the Hotel the best for eating at. Surf Club is very reasonable.

We have been invited by some of our friends to join them in this resort that they have booked before. this happened on Friday 22nd of Dec and we gladly accepted their invitation to join them on Saturday. After 3 hours driving from Brisbane and at our arrival, a woman who later I find out is the business owner stood up in front of the resort entrance and said you can't go in because your booking is for a three bed unit and you already have 6 adults and two kids in there. This is against the law. Well, she was fair enough but none of us knew about this rule. I was standing there with my luggage in my hand waiting for a solution. In the mean time the friend of mine who made the booking was trying to explain to the owners (the woman and her partner) that we honestly weren't aware of this rule and we would like to discuss this matter. However, the owners kept going on about us being dishonest with them! Then after they cooled down their temper, I asked if there is any apartment available for that night. They offered a one bed unit. I said I would to see it before take it but they said it has exactly the same furniture and facilities as the unit. As soon as I paid for that unit, they closed down their office and left. However, when we moved in to the unit I immediately noticed the size of the TV which was a 21" flat screen TV only covering the free TV channels! Then I checked the other unit and I saw that one was a 48" flat screen TV with Foxtel! I went down to talk to them about but nobody was there, even when we were leaving I had to drop the key into a box because they didn't bother to open their office on Sunday!
Having said that, I should the the resort is almost new, with an amazing ocean view. Furniture was so so. Almost new but not a good quality materials. And if it happens that you generate rubbish and have to use the rubbish bins make sure you take your rubbish with yourself when you leave, because there is a $30 surcharge for not emptying the rubbish bins!

We stayed in Feb '12 and being midweek pretty much had the place to ourselves. The accommodation is really nice and very roomy. Loved the pool (could have been a little cooler) and the views from our top floor apartment. If you are like me and need a really dark room to sleep you will be awake early but with the nice view and surrounds things like this seem to matter less. We found the town of Rainbow Beach to be welcoming and had really good meals at both the Surf Club and Sports Club. The Pub was nice for a drink but I found their steaks to be over priced and a bit tough. I can recommend the relatively short walk to the sand blow - tip walk down to the edge for a good view and photos. With the short walk to everything you get into holiday mode quickly and will really enjoy your stay at this apartment resort. With only 15 apartments I think it is ideally stuated on the small hill overlooking the main part of the town. We were originally thinking about staying at the Plantation Resoirt right next door to the pub really glad we chose Rainbow Sea Resort less of that Touristy feel and much quieter.

Take some time to lounge by the pool and enjoy
