Amazing grounds and pools, great place to relax. Lovely townhouses, fully equipped and air con. Very helpful full time, on site groundsman Gary was always around to make sure you are enjoying yourself and everything was ok! A 300 m walk to the beach, close to the bowls club, a 20min walk into agnes.
We had a very nice stay at Edge on Beaches. Even though it was close to full it was super quiet. Gary the manager is excellent and doesn't seem to stop working. He even put up with us locking our keys in the villa twice with a grin (or was it a grimace!). In our one bedders the kitchens are modest (as we were told they would be) but there is a frypan, microwave and toaster, and good BBQ's outside so you can cook most things you need. One pool was heated, the others were not, which was fine. All in all a great place for the money.
Our family stayed in January and I have been meaning to leave review to say thank you for assisting to make our stay really nice. Sometimes it's not what the issue might be at times, it's how it is fixed that makes the difference. We had a nice stay. Thank you.
Gary the manager on-site was amazing ! He had so much knowledge about the town from where to eat and what the best beach is ! It is about a 10 min walk to the beach but well worth it ! The water was lovely and warm but fairly rough. Room was lovely and the air con was awesome ! We were in a garden view room and it was facing the road but honestly it’s such a little town there was not much traffic at all and you could only hear it when outside on the balcony. Pool was lovely and I was glad that one was not heated as I am from Canberra and so I was really hot and did not want a heated pool :) From reading some of the other reviews I think some people have a different idea of what 1770 is it’s a small beach town with beautiful beaches and super close to the reef ! Overall a lovely trip !…
We recently stayed in unit 56 and I can safely say it’s one of the worst kept and maintained apartments I have ever stayed in. It was hard to find a single wall that wasn’t dinted, marked, full of old screw holes, or just plain dirty. The stained bedspread wasn’t much of a welcome, and the copious amounts of dark curly hair all over the bathroom floor was a concerning sign as to the overall hygiene of the house keeping. One of the heat globe lights in the bathroom was missing as well. The lounge and cushions were also covered in stains, and the missing blind in the lounge room didn’t offer much privacy. Backing on to the main road we heard pretty much every single car that drove past, day and night. We were not able to open any of the balcony doors due to the constant noise. The complimentary wifi was a nice touch, if it worked. After multiple restarts of the modem we gave up. The cooktop has lost all the temperature guides so it was hard to gauge how hot the stove was. Either the owner of the apartment is not aware of the amount of damage and disrepair, or they just don’t want to spend the money on the repairs. Having seen one of the one bedroom units in the complex, our two bedroom apartment was certainly well below the standard. I can understand money is tight due to COVID, but what we paid certainly didn’t represent the sub-standard accommodation. We’re very disappointed that we unfortunately ended up in this terrible apartment and certainly would not recommend it.…
The Edge grounds are immaculate. Gary, the manager would be out early and still working into the evening ensuring the resort was in perfect condition. Pool area,BBQs great facility for us to have dinner every night. Great spot for group booking. Walked down to beach and along shoreline to patrolled beach. Lovely spot.
Location is lovely but unfortunately this place was very over priced for the dated accommodation. For the price ($400 per night!), we were also surprised to see that we would be charged for leaving dirty dishes in the sink. Quite a concern that the cleanliness of dishes is left up to the customer... not sure everyone has the highest hygiene and cleanliness standards.
Housekeeping was an issue. Cooking appliances were left dirty in cupboard and a mould fest in the on suite bathroom sink and shower. For the price the expectation were higher. Location to the beach was great. Pool temp was still a little cool.
The best holiday spot for couples or family. Interesting setting with seperate pool for each block of villas. Each villa overlooks the pool and bbq area. At peak holiday season noise from other units may be a problem, especially when young families are staying. But while we were here in early spring it was very peaceful. Well situated between Agnes & 1770. Will be back.
Spacious & well equipped accomodation with very well maintained grounds. Mid way between Agnes Water shops & 1770...both walking distance but if you have kids and it's hot, a bike might be good option! Accomodation is across the road from the beach....walk up the track& boom...kms of pristine beach practically deserted! Only downside of our accomodation was really poor power pressure of the shower...barely a trickle at times. Patio also is not very private...walk through for other units. It wasn't an issue for us though as place not busy but could imagine in holidays with kids accessing the pool it might be annoying! Polite & helpful staff...thank you Edges
