We stayed for one night as part of our road trip in Queensland. Rooms are functional but dated. The room was comfy enough but there was very little space for making anything other than a cup of tea. On the positive side it was quiet and the shop and beach walkable.

We celebrated our 22nd Wedding Anniversary here in a Beach House with its own plunge pool. The house was decked out with everything anyone could ever want along with a comfortable bed and lovely amenities. A quick walk to the beach and an on-site restaurant where you can sit out on the deck, lovely on a balmy night. This was our second time to stay but last time we stayed in a Garden Villa which was also well appointed and very clean and a comfy bed. Lovely ladies at the front counter when checking in and out too which are very welcoming. We will be back.

Stayed on a short vacation to see the town of 1770 and Agnes Waters. Upon checkin, reception was really great in giving us a rundown of the things we can do while in the area. Rooms are spacious. We are only able to book the motel rooms but they exceeded my expectations. Being close to the road was not an issue since the entry doors are situated on the opposite direction. Has direct access to the beach. We will definitely come back and try the villas.

Sadly we only stayed one night due to other commitments. Fantastic apartment and so well equipped. Secure car parking. Lovely welcoming restaurant on site. Reception also very welcoming. Short walk to a gorgeous beach. Wish we could have stayed longer.

The beach house at Sandcastles was simply perfect for our family holiday. Rates were VERY reasonable. The beach house was modern and clean and I cooked most nights in the kitchen that was very well supplied with utensils and equipment. The Webber bbq on the deck was also well used. When we couldn’t be bothered making the two minute walk to the beach the kids jumped in the pool and heated spa. I cannot recommend this accommodation enough.

Our family stayed in one of the motel rooms for a couple of nights. The lady on reception was lovely and took the time to point out a few places to visit and provided us with a town map. The room was a decent size and the beds comfortable. There was a kitchenette and a bar fridge and a small table and two chairs. Ideally with four of us, more indoor seating would have been ideal but recognise this is a motel room. Underground parking available. Would stay again.

Not as good as the photos. My wife and I enjoyed our stay in agnes waters however the accommodation was sub standard. No bedlamps for reading , no dining table, stagnant water out back and the smell of a dead animal stopped us from having a sundowner on the patio. The property is very central and a lovely walk to shops and restaurants.

Thank you for this review however we note that all our rooms do have bedside reading lamps and we believe that you might have stayed in one of the private rentals within this complex but which have NOTHING to do with Sandcastles1770 Motel & Resort. Can we suggest that you direct your issues with the owner that you dealt with for the booking.

We booked a 4 night stay last year. After a couple of changes due to Covid lockdowns we finally made it..And a lovely surprise a week prior was a call to ask would we accept an upgrade to a beach house as our room was needed for a wedding…Reception staff were welcoming and friendly on arrival and on the phone…Our apartment was beautiful. Spotlessly clean.. And very secure..Yes we did have to walk up some stairs but that was ok..Very short walk to beach and the pool was beautiful.. After being in the outback for a week this all so beautiful and relaxing..We wished we could have stayed longer..

We initially booked to stay here for two nights but were so impressed we decided to stay an extra three nights. The accommodation was perfect & in an ideal setting very close to the main beach. We were lucky to be upgraded to a two bedroom beach villa with a plunge pool which was private & in a gated section of the resort. We were lucky to have hit a quiet time so everywhere was very peaceful. The villa was ideal with basic amenities provided in the bathroom & kitchen. There was also a washing machine & dryer. Everything was clean & tidy with a comfortable bed & sofas in the sitting area. There was plenty of outside seating & beds around the plunge pool. There was also a swimming pool for the use of clients in the beach villas. The gardens & pool were well maintained. The staff in reception were very friendly & helpful on advising us what to see & do during our stay. They also gave us a good rate on our stay so obviously best to contact them directly. There is a restaurant on site which we used once for pizzas which were very good & again staff were very friendly. It is close to the local shops & cooking facilities in the villa were good with a barbecue. We would certainly recommend staying here & would definitely return if we visit Agnes Water again.
