Another place where the ablutions are just horrible. Haven’t seen a clean in ages as the cobwebs are thick and the floors stained with dirt. With the amount of money they are making from all the travelers it would not be hard to clean them up and bring them up to a decent level.

We stayed at Victoria River Road House in our fully self contained van on our way from Lake Argyle to Katherine. A good half way stop and we found it perfectly fine. The road house serves good cold beer and cold wine or champers. We enjoyed a meal in the outside area and it was great. Yes the ablution blocks look old, but whilst we were there they were very clean. You can do a chopper ride from the roadhouse and we have heard that the ride is the cheapest in the Territory. We also the Escarpment walk in Judbarra National Park and can definitely recommend doing that for great views and if you are lucky a wallaby sighting.

Under new management, this roadhouse has lush lawn, freshly painted cabins and clean amenities. Best of all the cheapest helicopter flights in NT with an experienced pilot pointing out aboriginal art sites, cattle and crocs. Worth every bit of $110 each.

Great campground, powered sites, choose your own location. Old but clean amenities block. Great vibe for the AFL Grand Final. Our family had a lovely stopover there yesterday on the way from Katherine to Lake Argyle in our motorhome. Food was great, beer was cold, footy was on the big screen and they also had a pool table for when the footy quickly became a one way affair!!

If I could put a zero I would Some awful worker (who turns out isn’t a worker just uses it to free camp pretty sure that’s illegal) drove at fast speed over our beautiful dog and killed her instantly. This was very close and could have been my children. She then went on to be verbally abusive. My children and us are traumatised and quite frankly the whole staff there were useless. Please if you go here keep your children safe as this women does not care about life
She was also working in an area with no health and safety protocols, no fenced off zone, going over the speed limit and mentally unstable. This place is just harrowing and not safe

This place does a decent meal and a cold beer and is set in a magnificent location but the amenities are ready to fall down. Both gender toilet/shower units were filthy and looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. Bear in mind this is also the amenities for the roadhouse and bar! We camped at a powered site in our own caravan after we found an outlet that worked only for it to fail an hour later in 42 degree heat so we had to move to another site where the power worked. The place desperately needs some maintenance.

Cosy room with basic amenities. Stayed here on our trip from Darwin to Kununurra. There is lots of sites for caravans and they have cabins and demountables. We stayed in a Queen & Single room. It was budget, but better than I expected given it’s pretty remote. The staff on site were lovely and the sunrise in this area is amazing! There’s a walking track 1km up the road that head to a lookout. It’s just over an hour round trip to walk from the roadhouse to the top and back, but the view is great.

A pleasant place to stopover on the way thru - good, spacious camping facilities, with a superb backdrop to the surrounding escarpment. However, the single amenities block is an absolute disgrace - filthy, old & in very poor condition. Shame, as we enjoyed our stay - the people in the shop were very friendly & doing a great job

We stayed in an unpowered “site” there are no sites, just go where ever you want. Ammenities were old but clean, the roadhouse was busy with food at lunch time, we didn’t eat there but it looked tasty. Staff were friendly but busy, they need people to work as they are short staffed but they are doing an amazing job.

We stayed for two nights, checked out the old bridge and took a chopper flight over Gregory's NationalPark, WOW! Staff were more than friendly and up for a chat, I like chatting with locals. Amenities old, but clean enough. Sights a bit rough but you can see that they are trying to water and improve the place. We would stop over again.
