I would like to introduce the brand new, Pine Creek Railway Resort. We have 18 stylishly furnished cabins ranging from single, queen, self-contained and family cabins. We have been in operation since 2009, have successfully completed the requirements of the Australian Tourism Accreditation Standard and are an accredited tourism business. We are the Crossroads to Kakadu, Litchfield and Douglas Daly regions. Only 1 hours’ drive to Cooinda – Yellow water cruises and 1 hours’ drive to Katherine. Rated 4.5 stars, all of our cabins are air-conditioned and include Foxtel, comfortable beds with clean linen and are finished with unique décor. With our lagoon style, shaded swimming pool, guests are welcome to cool themselves down from the outback heat. We have also recently completed constructing our Restaurant which is built in the shape of two trains parked at a Railway Station, which is furnished and styled after Pine Creeks’ Chinese heritage. Complete with a showcase of images from local archives and attractions, the Pine Creek Railway Resort has already become a talking point up and down the Stuart Highway, and is a long overdue attraction to the town. Our restaurant offers ready to go food which will be an advantage with your clients when calling into Pine Creek. We also have complimentary refreshments and all day breakfasts on offer for the driver. Our air-conditioned, a la carte restaurant features poolside and alfresco dining, over 40 items on our menu and is a chic, yet comfortable way to dine.

Pine Creek is a tranquil gem of a town and the Railway Resort is an oasis with great attention to detail. Spotlessly clean, pretty garden, shaded pool and a short walk to the lazy lizard for dinner and supplies. There is excellent bird watching at Pine Creek
What I liked was a regular sized fridge, comfy verandah, good ventilation and lockable screen doors. A quiet place. The kitchen even had an air fryer with instructions which we didn’t use. The first time I had seen one.
I recommend sunset at the lookout and a visit to the Pine Creek railway.

I cannot fault Pine Creek Railway Resort in any way. Check-in was easy, air-con was on upon arrival, clean and tidy rooms decked out beautifully, comfortable bed and all the basic amenities you need such as microwave, jug and toaster available. The grounds and pool are a great design with palm trees everywhere. It feels a little like a secluded oasis. For the region the prices are very reasonable and on top of that l was given a free upgrade without asking. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

This place is INCREDIBLE - it's built from an old railway shed and has been restored to look like old rail cars. This is a step back in time when rail was king, and a first class really meant classy...

The pressed tin ceilings are incredible (and it's true - they just don't make them like this any more...). The coffee was excellent, the breakfast wonderful, the ambience a gentle stroll back into quieter times.

We are planning to stay a night or two just to see what else this place has up its sleeves!

We call in on the way through to Mataranka and was very pleasantly surprised by firstly the lovely lady who served us as we were only wanting something to eat. The biggest surprise was the pies and sausage rolls were nothing short of to die for the very best we had ever had and that’s saying something as we try them nearly every where we go. Thank you Pin Creek Resort for a more then pleasant experience.

We enjoyed our stay at this quirky accomodation. The family room was more of a two roomed cabin - a kitchen/living/dining room connected to a bedroom by the bathroom, with a rollaway bed in the bedroom. It was a little squishy (although I think the lounge in the living room may have converted to a bed, also). However, it was clean and comfortable and the kitchen well provisioned. Because we were there before the "season" had really started, the resort was almost empty. Our son swam in the pool, while we enjoyed drinks and a BBQ dinner by the pool, which was lovely.

We stayed here for one night and it was great. Rooms are well equiped and clean. Excellent continental breakfast served for $10pp - a great selection and enough options for all needs. Various milks, GF options, etc. Staff are friendly and helpful too.

First time stay at the resort for a night with two kids. Our room had a bedroom with queen bed plus a trundle bed and small kitchenette/dinning lounge room. Well equipped and very clean. Loved the style of the resort and impressed with the contact free checkin too. The restaurant was closed however walking distance to Lazy Lizard for dinner or you can cook back at the resort. Pool area is great for the kids or just to relax in the area with a magazine. Hopefully next time I’m back I get to enjoy a meal!

Great clean accommodation. Water presser is fantastic in the showers and kitchen.

Only comment was that I asked on Sunday morning to look at breakfast menu for Monday morning and even asked the staff what time they open tomorrow for breakfast and was told the time. When my husband and I arrive the next day for breakfast to be told they were not open Monday. The staff need a day off
I did it have an issue with this it was the way we were told Not that the staff gave me the incorrect information

I agree staff needed a day off

Otherwise this place was excellent

We were just staying overnight, but Sandy (who also runs the Post office) was so helpful.
The room was small but clean.
Great place for an overnight, or even two nights.
The pool was clean and warm, with ample shade from the hot sun.

What a great little place. Quaint room which was basic but still cosy and welcoming. Clean, bed comfortable and milk provided which was appreciated. Though it was reasonably small it was still comfortable. I would be more than happy to stay again.
