A real shame this place is so run down as the location is perfect for accessing the main sites within Litchfield. We attended the park office at just before 4pm only to find, who we assume to be the owners drinking beers out the front of the office. Luckily I’m a dog person as there were dogs, large and small running everywhere. No real welcome or explanation of the parks facilities was given so we were left to work out where everything was. The bathrooms and toilets are badly in need on maintenance! All in all if you can avoid this place do so. If not, suck it up and make the best of it.

Don was very friendly at check in. Grassed powered and unpowered sites. Bathrooms very clean and spacious. Nice treed and shadie spots for the campervan. Dirt road in and looks a little tired but was great for a night to recharge the fridge, phones etc. There is a washing machine in the bathroom. Showers have plenty of space, hot and cold water. Nice breeze at sunset.

I love this place and have been back many times. Prices are very reasonable and the amenities are more than adequate. The location is excellent; so close to all the major swimming holes and tourist attractions. I love that we can camp in the middle of the bush with green grass under our feet instead of dirt👍🏼👍🏼

By far the worst facilities ever. We stayed 3 nights and the toilet/ammenities block blocked up all 3 nights and the owner Don had to unblock before they could be used. The place is really run down. The two above ground swimming pools were empty one had dirty water at the bottom the other leaves. Totally unusable. The camp barbecues were rusted and in poor condition. No lighting around the camp ground. Such a shame because the position and the trees etc were beautiful

My two little boys and I camped here for a week. We had an unpowered site for $168.00. (With power extra $60 wk) Bargain considering we had unlimited hot water, drinking water and toilet less then 50 mtrs. We also had full access to a washing machine the owner let me use for free. The shop was very handy for daily ice creams and items I forgot or ran out of. From insect coils to ice, bread, meat (that was to die for!) etc The owner is getting elderly but has done a great job keeping the park tidy with plenty of green grass for kids to kick a ball around and play. The bonus of staying right in park is saving of fuel cost not travelling daily to explore park from Batchelor or other parks outside of park. There are camps but a small cost is charged around $11 pp and $3 child extra. These places do fill up and are on top of each other. No privacy. I could leave my camp site and go swimming several times a day and not worry my solar panels and gear would be touched. The owners are very good at security and making sure your feeling safe & comfortable. Rubbish is collected often by Joey one of the other owners and he made sure the camp fire had plenty of wood provided to cook or just enjoy a fire. The park isn’t a five star faculty but it’s as close to Bush camping with the perks of hot showers etc you’ll get! The staff are very friendly and one time the owners daughter Trina went out of her way to lend me a battery charger & extension lead when I flattened my car battery. Her dogs are the most friendliest dogs also. Would come for a visit and allowed the kids to pat them endlessly. I fully recommend camping and previously have stayed in a safari tent which was just as much of a positive experience as this time. Even with a tropical low developing over us the tent kept us dry and safe! The shop had all the supplies we needed and eftpos. We were not able to get through flooded bridges for 2 days but we still were able to visit the falls and explore. In fact we had the whole park pretty much to ourselves! Again the elderly owner Donny made sure we were happy and comfortable! The bonus on top of everything was the local helicopter tour company leaves the chopper at the camp also overngt and the pilot is based here also. He offered us a awesome offer for us to go flying! Can honestly say was the highlight of our trip! Thanks Nick! Thank you so much guys, we will see you again soon! Belle, Troy and Joel.
