Detailed Reviews
Stayed 3 nights late August. Lovely well organised park. Jim was very friendly and helpful. His bird feeding (Galahs and Parakeets) was a wonderful experience. We chose to book an ensuite site as we have a campervan and this allowed us to leave a lot of our gear there during the day rather than pack everything up each morning. Ensuite had separate toilet and shower rooms which was great - not seen in other ensuite sites. Pool nice where we relaxed each afternoon before dinner. Would definitely recommend

Good location close to Litchfield and being in the middle you could walk to the other two places next door for dinner. The room was a converted container but you would not notice this and it had water in the room which was great. An extra bonus was the owner feeds birds morning and afternoon so you get to see a lot of birds.
There is no paving so you walk on grass to get to room which can get messy when it rains.

This was part of a self-drive tour and I wasn't sure what the standard of accommodation would be but we had a roomy two-bedroom cabin which was clean and had a kitchen with all that was needed. I have to say the sofa was weird and not comfortable (maybe folded out to an extra mattress?) and I would suggest replacing that. We were warmly welcomed and we loved the birdlife and starry skies. You can walk to the tavern too which is a big plus!

I spoke to Jim on the phone twice and he was absurdly rude!
He answered the phone with "Batchelor Holiday park this is Jim, what can I do for ya?" Then proceeded to SCREAM AND RANT AT ME down the line apparently they were closed at 7pm. I'd hardly got a word out, I called at 710pm I mean he didn't need to answer or could have led with "we are closed" rather then "what can I do for ya?"
Anyhoo I called again the next day during hours quoting the websites price and just double checking that there would be room. Apparently the parks website prices are NOT CORRECT its $15 per adult for camping and $5 a head for children. He also said there might be room might not hes too busy to write our reservation down
So we called Litchfeild Outback Resort next door- It cost us $40 for the night for a group of 10 (mainly children) we had the entire place to ourselves and the facilities are clean and ample.
Don't go to the holiday park go next door for service with a smile!

Hello Happy Travellers, stayed 2 nts on ensuite site & found that it had NOT been cleaned & NO toilet paper, we advised them & were told they were short staffed, but that did'nt stop them from charging $65 per nt. The ONLY good thing about this park is that it is walking distance to the Bistro @ Litchfield Resort. If you have the choice look else where. Bon Voyage

We booked an ensuite powered site for 2 nights as we thought it would be nice to have our own toilet and shower. The large grassy site was nice, but the ensuite was not worth it. Due to staff shortages, we had to go and ask for toilet paper and soap, and clean the basins ourselves (the outside one was filthy and clearly hadn't been cleaned in quite some time). The shower was barely lukewarm, so we ended up using the communal showers anyway, which were primitive and uninviting. The communal bbq was disgustingly dirty, the camp kitchen very basic, there's no dump point (although there's one in town), and the wifi was useless. If I came to this area again, I would definitely stay elsewhere.

Location and amenities in the cabin were basic but sufficient for a short stay. Cutlery ,crockery TV, Microwave iron and ironing board. For very little effort and expense the cabin could use a cosmetic update as first impressions were not great. Ceiling peeling and a colour that made it look dirty. Couch cover needs changing. Was hesitant to sit on it. Out most of the 2 days so was not a huge issue. The bed however had clean linen and was comfortable. I use the word “cabin” loosely as the one we had was essentially a donger. Could hear the kids or people next door running / moving about theirs. Having the ensuite bathroom was great. Although small I would take this type of accommodation over having to use a shared bathroom. Great tavern next door for a good meal but it’s across an open field. It’s a pity they don’t have a lighted footpath to join the properties as I would not walk that distance at night. Even walking to the front of the property to use the road was dark. I found the staff to be friendly. If they did a bit of an update I’m sure they could charge a little more. Although we didn’t use it, having a Pool was nice as well as the mini golf which would suit families.

+1
This is by far the worst accommodation I have ever stayed in. Yes the price was cheap but there are still little things called health standards and occupational heathy and safety regulations, plus we have stayed in similar accommodation that was a similar price that was amazing. Please view the pictures of the so called ‘cabin’ to understand that I’m not just being dramatic.
The toilet and shower block looks like a Mexican prison the walls were covered in mould, there was a creepy rusted gate and it was all open so at night you had to contend with frogs jumping on you whilst on the toilet. The ‘cabin’ (sea container) had a overwhelming musty smell and there was a dirty old pair of socks under the bed that did not belong to us. Out the front of the ‘cabin’ was a pile of scrap metal, PVC pipe and other junk, the garden was overgrown, the mattress was yellow and the bed spread was clearly at least 20 years old.
The bbq area was far away and had no lights, the caravan park manager was extremely rude and even though I didn’t go to the bird feeding I’m willing to bet he doesn’t have permission to be feeding native birds store bought bird seed.
Do yourself a favour and stay at the national park camp ground or get a tetanus shot first in case you cut yourself on the pile of scrap metal. also I read through all the negative comments and came across one where he turned away a mother and child in the dark because it was after 7pm and also did the same to three young girls. I find it very suspicious that nearly every positive comment mentions the park manager by name.

We booked two nights to stay at a number of cabins at the Batchelor Holiday Park with friends and their kids.
The hospitality was second to none with the Holiday Park catering for all of our needs. The swimming pool was a welcome opportunity to cool down in the heat of the territory wet season and the mini golf course was heaps of fun.
We all enjoyed watching the wild Rainbow Lorikeets and Galahs being fed a natural diet by Jim and his staff.
It was only a short trip to Litchfield Park where we visited Wangi Falls and Greenant Creek and it was lovely to return to our cabins, less than a half an hour away.
I highly recommend this Holiday Park for anyone who needs a home away from home as they visit Litchfield national Park.

We stayed 1 night in what looked like a raised shipping container. Inside it was all decked out with all the amenities needed and was very comfortable. Just needed to be a bit cleaner.
The guy at reception was super friendly and the surroundings are pleasant.
