Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great modern menu and lovely crafty setting. Building in a quiet street out of town. Staff seemed a little flustered and somewhat intense. One item missing from my order & no apology. Did not deserve a tip.

What a wonderful addition to Cootamundra! The coffee shop is trendy, quality food, great setting, friendly, capable and efficient staff. The Elm and Wren is not in or close to the Main Street of Cootamundra, I would suggest a little more advertising and directions as you come into town. I am sure visitors to town would find the accommodation and coffee shop of a high standard. Thank you for starting up such a great venue for breakfast or lunch in Cootamundra...love it!

Called to Elm and Wren to organise a 90th Birthday party for my Mother.
The venue looks beautiful and very enticing, however the customer service certainly didn't match the picturesque outlook.
I was made to feel that I was more of an inconvenience than a prospective customer.
I was told that I was unable to book the outside seating as "she may have other customers wanting that area" and would have to sit inside in a corner....
We were a party of 22 definite customers and we had a lovely time at a competitors venue where we were made to feel welcome and looked after very well.
Too bad for Elm and Wren, perhaps you should take a leaf out of your competitors book and up your game, as you missed out on a considerable taking for that day.

Second stay in December 2014, following one in May 2014. Continues to be excellent!

Description: A new and cute B&B in an old nurses quarters building.
About guest: 1 guest, 1 night in a queen bed room in December 2014.
Check in/out: Quick and easy.
Room: standard bedsit room - small and spartan but comfortable. Floor fan was incredibly useful in warm weather. Comfortable bed.
Other: Same as last stay: There’s lots of little common areas, kitchen areas, etc that are really welcoming and inviting. Nice way to meet fellow guests. Shared bathroom facilities down a hallway - great shower pressure/hot water but maybe a soap dispenser could be an idea.

Location: Easy 5-10 minute walk from the centre of town, two blocks away from a late night petrol station for convenience needs.

Overall: Delightful B&B with great value for money. If I'm back at Cootamundra anytime soon I'll stay there again.

Stayed December 2014, travelled on business

The accommodation is very clean and shared bathrooms was not an issue. A bit like my old College days.. However, the lack of a bedside lamp was sorely missed. Tea and coffee in the kitchen and comfortable lounges to watch tv. No toiletries in your room.

Had the best thick cut bacon and eggs in many years at the Elm & Wren's Corridor 37 Coffee shop this morning washed down with a lovely flat white.
A bit off the beaten track even for sleepy little Cootamundra but well worth looking for if you're in town.

It's wonderful that a top cafe has come to Cootamundra. The coffee was spot on and the menu modern. I know the smashed avocado is getting paid out these days but I love it and the Elm & Wren so it really well, they even include a properly poached egg without charging extra. They need to get there ordering a little more organised but maybe we need to relax into the country vibe a little more.

What a great asset to Cootamundra. The Elm and Wren Corridoor 37 would be popular in city or country setting, it is that good. There are few places these days where everything is made on premises, the food trend, presentation and flavours are really great. I I have eaten there many times and have never been disappointed. The selection of cakes is a real treat, today you had about 8-10 different options, Apple and walnut, raspberry and almond, chocolate and Beetroot, apricot and yogurt as examples. We enjoyed chocolate apricot balls and caramel kisses! Great coffee of course. The staff are very friendly, there is a happy banter ( when time permits because often they are busy busy). I noticed someone's concern regarding disabled access. I am on a walking frame and have had no problems. Just ring at the door and you can enter via the front door, around the side there is good path , wide steps (4) and solid rail. Assistance is always at hand. Liz the owner has put her heart into this wonderful place, she is an artist as well and everything shows her special touch. Very nice outdoor area too. I can't is lovely place enough. Thank you Chris and Liz for having the vision to open the Elm and Wren.
