There is an obvious and commendable effort by the current operators to upgrade and improve this very much older style motel. Our room had a near new clean shiny bathroom. Also very effective wi-fi and air conditioning. We agree that the term Gardens is a tad misleading, but there is a pleasant central courtyard with above average sized pool and newish B.B.Q. The biggest asset though is it’s rather excellent on-site Indian restaurant. So, for the moderate price this motel is well worth considering because of the actual and planned improvements and the efforts to upgrade from first impressions which might be of some shabbiness and untidiness.

Comfortable motel which was easy to find and in a quite location. The room had access to a swimming pool as well as access to your parked car out the back. There is also a restaurant on site for dinner and breakfast the next morning, Staff were friendly.

I recently stayed here for several nights. It is several years since my previous visit. Ownership/operation has changed over the years. The present owner/operators are very welcoming and do all they can to make a stay comfortable and pleasant.
This is now a dated establishment although the room appointments are in good order and condition. The wifi works well. Daily housekeeping was mixed. Some days it was good but others a bit sloppy. Unlike many country establishments this one offers good quality well priced hot breakfasts.

I was told $120 for a double room $165 for a family room and $35 extra cleaning fee for dogs. We had the dogs in one room.
On the day we checked in and I was told $35 per dog!! I’m sorry I’ve never been charged that ludicrous amount and on top of that the rooms were disgusting.
Someone else’s shoes under the bed, black mould in bathrooms and on the window. Not just the window sill, literally the window pane. These rooms have not had anything but a bed linen change in years. Unhygienic and disgusting.
To top it off - $70 was charged after I checked out even though I complained to the staff who refused to clean the rooms properly and I ended up doing it!! Run!!! The Indian restaurant on site must be a total mess if the rooms are so disgusting!!

We didn't stay at the motel so this review is about the restaurant. We have had takeaway from this restaurant several times now and we love it. The food is wonderful and the service can't be beaten. So friendly and helpful and their estimate of timing of when the food is ready has always been spot on - and they also text when it's ready - no standing around waiting for long periods of time. We will definitely be back as we see this as one of our regular spots now.

This place is in desperate need of an update and a proper clean. The owners need to do more than just change the sheets and towels. It borders on disgusting and is well below basic standards for a rural motel. I won't stay again. Even the towels were stained and smelt stale.

Room was very clean, services was great. Shower was absolutely terrible and the screen didn’t open and close properly, very outdated. Location was good, walking distance to town - parking was tricky when the signs all say nose in but nobody seems to bother.

Having eaten at this Indian restaurant on numerous occasions and the quality continues to get better. This visit highlighted even more interesting menu items as “Street Bites”. The range of tandoori’s, curries etc, quality of food and friendly service was well received along with a small but very adequate bar and wine list. We returned a week later for takeaway and were pleased the quality remained. Price is moderate and acceptable.

Bathroom was not cleaned properly. The shower drain had a dead animal smell coming out of it. Two very tiny windows not enough for air ventilation. Fridge did not keep our drinks and food cold over night and was warm by morning. Photos on website definitely sent the same in person .

After reading good reviews on trip advisor we were a bit disappointed as found the motel quite basic. It was clean & OK for one night. The walls were thin & could hear someone snoring next door !! Good wifi.
