Stayed here for a week and had one of the Priory rooms over the road from the pub. Well appointed, quaint cottage style rooms. Easy parking and the breakfast was good and the staff friendly and helpful even freezing our ice packs every day. Only thing missing to make it a 5 would be small fridges in rooms.

My husband and I ate at the pub Saturday evening whilst staying at Croyde for the weekend. Seated straight away on arrival. What a different experience than the last time we were here. Good COVID in place, face masks worn on arrival until seated. Staff wore permanently. Drink orders taken at the table then food orders. We both opted for the house burger. No Guinness on tap but tried the Cornwall equivalent Mina Dhu so nice we ordered a second pint. Food very good as was service. Something we will have to get used to us putting face masks on every time we left table to use the loo etc. Tables well spaced

We were camping and a horrible storm blew through with over 50mph winds and Michelle came to our rescue and squeezed us in the hotel for two nights. So lovely and welcoming when we came in wet and cold from a terrible night! The room was so cute and the bed so soft it was bliss. Clean and very COVID safe. The food for dinner and breakfast was very yummy and very well priced for dinner. All the staff where cheery and helpful throughout our stay. We will be coming back!! (Perhaps no storms next time.)

We ordered fish pie which was quite bland mash taste like instant mash was looking forward to it but was a bit disappointed. Wife had a lamb burger was ok and my daughter have the steak and ale pie looked great taste ok. Also ordered the natchos bit hard to get this one wrong. My youngest had fishfingers that were over cooked. Overall felt it was a bit pricey for the what we had but it is in the middle of nowhere so probably the reason. We only had mains. Lastly the staff were friendly and welcoming
