This place is a hidden gem in the middle of Rodanthe. Fred is amazingly hospitable. The facilities are clean and well kept. A short walk to the beach. A short drive to nearby Avon/Buxton. Will definitely come back!

The Sea Sound was absolutely perfect for our needs. We couldn't do the Sat.-Sat. rentals typical of OBX so instead made an extra long weekend staying at the Sea Sound. The owners are two lovely people, who take excellent care of the motel. Our room was impeccably clean & ideally located a short walk from the beach. It really was...

If coming to OBX, look no further than Sea Sound Motel. We stay here for 2 nights prior to meeting the whole family at our bigger Beach House a few streets over. It is run by a friendly couple. There are regular 2 queen bed rooms (we had this time) or 2 queen with mini kitchens (3 night stay required...

Sea-Sound Motel is a gem of a motel. It's located in Rodanthe, which is center in the Outer Banks and away from the busy tourist areas. It's also very reasonably priced. The hotel is run by a wonderful couple who are knowledgeable about the area. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Grounds are maintained. There is also a pool. A...

Definitely the place to stay if you are going to the OBX... even tho I would like to keep it a hidden secret all for myself! Its an easy ride from Williamsburg, VA. Always clean, always friendly and helpful. Never had any issues, and we have stayed multiple times!! Love this motel.

Great Management, clean and comfortable rooms, reasonable prices and all set in the beautiful sea and sound area of Rodanthe NC. The owners treat everyone like a friend and, over time, that is what they are. It is set off the road and very peaceful and quiet. What more could you ask for.

Room 101 was great. This is a two story small motel in Rodanthe with great management folks. The efficiency had two queen beds, stove, microwave........everything needed for cooking. Very quiet, quaint, nothing fancy, clean, and NO MUSTY SMELL that seems to plague a lot of small motels on OBX. Ms. Janet was great with reservations and pricing is much cheaper...

Very comfortable, affordable, clean and nicely located motel. True "mom and pop" facility. Owners very friendly and accommodating. Units may look old from outside but interiors well maintained. Quite affordable, very good WiFi, and close ( not on) the beach but off US 12. I will return and recommend others to give it a try. May not be a place...

We celebrated our20th anniversary here and it was lovely. The owners Sharon and Fred are so knowledgeable and welcoming. VERY clean and Fred roasts a great coffee bean! Surprisingly secluded and we will definitely be back!

I've sampled a lot of hotels down in the Outer Banks and this is the best one I found. Fresh paint, new curtains, new furniture, a cozy little electric fireplace, nice coffee provided with the coffee machine and a mini refrigerator. The Wi-Fi was a little slow but I'm not down here for Internet.
