My wife and I visited for the first time with a group of other couples. The lodge itself was awesome. Nice fireplace and comfortable sitting areas. A good place to gather and relax as a group. The cabins were great as well. Comfortable bed and well decorated, My only complainant was water pressure in the shower. (I'm guessing it was...

Greg, thanks for reaching out and sharing your note about the water pressure in your cabin. We have forwarded this along to our maintenance team and we are addressing it for your next stay. Thrilled you had the chance to unplug and unwind with your group. See you by the fireplace again soon! - Chelsea T.

Stayed here one night on a short get away weekend . Enjoyed our stay.Favorite part was the was the warm cozy lobby. Room was nice, but could never get it cool enough , even with the window open. Dinner and cocktails at the bar were good. Wish there more places like this beautiful old lodge. Great gift items also in...

I love this place. Sit outside by the rushing brook with fires burning in the pits. Take a jacket in the fall. The food has always been excellent. The Pizzas are huge and cover the table. . Humas plate is great. Everything we ordered was great.

Wonderful to hear your words of praise. The pizzas really are something else. So glad you had a chance to relax and enjoy this special place on the Cheoah River. Hope to see you again soon. - Chelsea T.

We loved everything about this place. It is a secret hideaway without cell service or WiFi so you can really get away. The rooms were very well equipped w good beds and quality linens. Our favorite part is the food. Sitting outside by the river you can enjoy a beer and great pizza next to the water and they light...

We made a stop here for lunch before tackling the "Tail of the Dragon". Beautiful looking lodge facility on a spectacular creek side location. We had wonderful sandwiches, burgers, and the Stella was a standout! Can't get much better on this beautiful November day. We will be back!!

One of my favorite places to take in great mountain scenery by a beautiful waterway while enjoying great casual food and drink. We always eat outside to enjoy the lodge's scenery. Never had a bad lunch there, ( been 4x ), but the pizza is our favorite. Be sure to have the crust done well as on one occasion it...

highly recommend this place, staff were all super, and the location is stunning. great food and very clean rooms. breakfast is a nice little treat as well. We didn't get to see much of the grounds given the recent fires and smoke, so we plan to come back every year!!

Let me put it this way... we stayed in the area in the middle of numerous wildfires that turned out to be ongoing during our stay dates and we still enjoyed it. In comparison to Fontana village resorts which I've stayed at. These cabins were much more Up to date and well kept. Everything was just much more upscale. New...

The lodge itself is beautiful! The location is amazing! The food was very good! Service was meh. I am sure that the nice weather combined with additional guests (the river only releases 6 - 8 times a year, so I am sure on a release date, the guest numbers increase). We ordered beers, mixed drinks, hummus, Tapoco Chips appetizer, burgers,...

The Tapoco Lodge is a lovely place to stay in a gorgeous setting. Located on a river in the mountains of Western North Carolina, the lodge is restful and comforting. We stayed in the Evergreen Suite which is very large and beautifully decorated. We were there on a special-events weekend so the lodge was packed, but the staff handled it...
