I nearly didn't write this review as I want to keep this place secret as its so special!! Myself, my husband 3 & 6 year old kids stayed for a week in July in Casa do Celerio a beautifully restored farm building that had everything to make as all feel at home straight away. The beds were so comfortable that we all slept so well all week despite the 44oC heat!! The house's thick stone walls kept it cool all day in the heatwave. The swimming pool was bliss and a great size too. The kids loved the farm animals and kittens and they had lots of space to run around in the very safe grounds. Cecelia delivered breakfast to our door each morning including home baked cakes, bread, fresh fruit, juice and hot coffee - each cake was exquisite! The farm is in a great location close to lots of wonderful beaches and amenities. The scenery is stunning. Celelia herself and her family are so warm and welcoming and gave us all big hugs on arrival and departure. We will definitely be returning to this magical place in 2019!…
This was our second visit to this glorious turismo rural and Cecília welcomed us as old friends. We stayed in the Forno studio which was so perfect. Seating just outside on our own little terrace. Super comfy beds for us and excellent shower room with hot hot water. The kitchen area is very well equipped, everything has been thought of. We slept brilliantly all three nights, so tranquil. Breakfast each day is delivered to your door. Totally to our taste and freshly squeezed OJ and the homemade cake and jams are a delight. We were full until evening. Luckily for us the sun shone on our last day so we DID get to use the beautiful pool - what a joy and pleasure. We can’t wait to return to see Cecilia and Antonio again. This place is a true 5 star gem and not to be missed.…
My friend and I decided to stay here instead of in Obidos on our way from LIsbon to Tomar. This is a gated property and you must contact Cecilia upon arrival to be let into the main gate and parking area. Once inside, you are given a key-fob to operate the gate on your own time. The property is absolutely beautiful! The landscaping is well planned out and cared for, the pool area looks as though it belongs in a high end magazine, and the attention to detail in the rooms is on point! Cecilia truly provides the best experience possible; she started a wood burning fire in our room upon arrival, she called and made us dinner reservations in town, and she provided a fantastic tour of the property while telling us the history of the family in the olive business. The rooms were very clean, modern and updated. The breakfast was perfect, as it arrived in a picnic basket on the patio at exactly 8:30am. I would definitely recommend staying with Cecilia. A+…
We stayed here after a day seeing Obidos. Cecilia runs a lovely property here. There are many apartments and studios of varying sizes to choose from. The property is lovely and has a gorgeous pool and pool house with bathrooms (it was too cold when we were there to swim). There are 5 sheep down the hill and hilarious nosy farm cats full of personality that what to know what you are doing. It is out in the country and you need GPS to get there. We have the best dinner at the Taberna Del Mantevina in the next town. There was a beautiful box of breakfast waiting on our little terrace the next morning. Highly recommended.…
We stay for a weekend in a lovely little house. The place was really nice, with fireplace in the room. We had all the main aminities to cook in the kitchen and to make tea or coffe. The pool was so pleasant. The manager of the place was very available and made this wonderfull home maid breakfast. We enjoyed it very much and we intent to return.…
