Perfect location for my first trip to Ocracoke. Enjoyed watching the fishing boats across the street come in with their catch. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The view from our balcony was beautiful. Lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Will certainly stay here again next time

Called to see if a room was available and they had several. The first floor is for pets, the rooms are clean and large. We slept well but should have gotten room on a higher floor. When you open the door at nights the mosquitoes come into the room.

I like this inn as it has an elevator- the only one on the island. The first floor is pet friendly. The staff is very helpful and friendly. We like the third floor as it has a great view of the harbor and tends to be quieter than other floors. Rooms are clean and well tended.

I wanted a room to be able to see the entire Harbor/Inlet and also the Ocracoke Lighthouse. While the 3rd or 4th floor of this hotel will suffice with a wonderful view of both, we stayed in the suite on the top floor of the building as it was a special occasion. There are two Private suites available. The suite...

This is an older Inn. There are "fancier" places to stay in Ocracoke. BUT the location of this Inn makes it our favorite. The rooms are very basic but adequate, clean and comfortable. The views are GREAT! We love to watch the activity on Silver Lake from the balcony - from watching the ferries and sailboats go and come, the...

We stayed for 2 nights in a room at the 4th floor. The view is fantastic! The room was ok. It was clean and basic. The breakfast was also very basic, but for only 2 days it was fun to eat a muffin and drink coffee in front of our room while looking over the harbor. Staff was very friendly...

We stayed at the Anchorage for one night at the beginning of August. I asked for non-smoking, so we were put on the 4th floor (I believe). As we walked to our room, I saw an ashtray on the adirondack chair in front of the room next to mine. I knew what that meant. Although smoking was not allowed in...

The place is absolutely fine, rooms are big, wi-fi works, beds are comfortable, and though I didn't see any evidence of the coffee and muffins I don't doubt that it existed. However when all said and done its a 2/3* motel but it carries a 4* price, particularly off season, so not great value

Pet friendly, warm and perfectly located on the shore of Silver Lake...excellent views, close to shopping and dining. Muffins, juice and all the fresh coffee you can drink each morning from 7:30 to 9:30...you'll be taken care of by the manager, Kara, and her staff. Across the street is their marina and boat ramp...we enjoyed our stay.
