For those who don't know, New Bern is the ancestral home of Pepsi Cola (concocted in a phamacy there). Lovely room, comfortable bed (always a must when traveling), very friendly and accomodating hosts. Wine and cheese in the evening and a nice front porch to sit on and watch the world go by. Soda in the fridge for those who... More

Comfy, quiet B&B in downtown New Bern with the unusual (and appreciated) offering of a room with twin beds. Swings and rockers on the front porch, drinks in the fridge, evening snacks, tasty breakfast, pleasant hosts, and only the nicest guests made this a great spot for old friends to get together.

I stayed here with my husband for one night in September. We arrived early for check -in, but Alan(who was looking after the place as the owners were away) allowed us to check in early, which was great as we were able to go off and explore New Bern a little before getting ready for dinner. As we checked in,... More

This was my first time, in many years, visiting a Bed & Breakfast. Located in Downtown New Bern, NC, this place is very adorable with a homestyle feel accompanying the Victorian-stylish decorations. The bed was very comfortable and the addition of modernized hot-tube/jacuzzi was a nice touch! The innkeepers were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast they served was... More

We enjoyed our stay. Big room downstairs a little over decorated but had a nice colonial canopy bed and two comfortable wing chairs. Very quiet. Breakfast consisted of a great stuffed french toast, fruit, granola, juice and coffee. All great. You can walk around the corn to Craven where there are great restaurants and shopping.

OK when we arrived no one was there to greet us. We came at the time of arrival, 6:00pm but there was a sign that they were out to dinner. Not the warmest welcome! The main rooms left one feeling a bit let down. There really wasn't that warm, scented feeling at all. The porch looked nice but the house... More

Great location, easy parking, pleasant rooms, comfortable beds, delicious breakfasts, cheerful hosts--what more can be said? Oh yes--there are porch swings and rockers, and big pots of begonias, and fresh flowers in the living room. It's just a lovely place to stay.

Everything about my stay was perfect. Off street parking. Huge wonderful room. Great location, easy to walk downtown and to the Tyron Palace. Helpful innkeepers, and excellent breakfast. Can't say enough good things about this wonderful B&B.

My wife and I stayed at Harmony House for two nights so that we could do some genealogy research at the Craven County Register of Deeds, which turned out to be just across the street and down the block a bit, so we could walk there. We also took some time to see the sights in New Bern, an attractive... More

We stayed in the Benjamin Ellis suite which has two separate rooms, so if you have kids, it's an excellent choice. Very comfortable and Ed and Sooki are gracious hosts. The breakfast in the morning was outstanding. The stuffed french toast was excellent. The inn is within walking distance of all the attractions. The towels and the robes were very... More
