Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We just got home (July 8, 2023). The new campground was a disappointment. We had litter all over our site. The swimming pool has never opened and we were told there is a pool. They haven’t passed inspections. No bath houses except inside locked pool area and will be closed during pools off hours when gate is locked. Campers from lower huge campground will share the pool with large upper campground. Will be very crowded. Campers came and left angry because of no bath houses. Grass not cut and was 10” deep under our picnic table. All of our gravel was full of grass and weeds.

RV’s are well spaced apart. Very hot due to no trees but small trees planted.

Under new management so hopefully things will get better. She comes with great experience from Big Pine Key, FL.
I suggested they hire some Volunteers. The park does not have enough help.

We won’t return. We love trees and shade.

We spent a very restful week “glamping” in one of the little 400 -ish square foot cabins and found it to be very pleasant for our family of 5 (the 3 kids are young adults now).
Our cabin had a master bedroom with queen bed, and at the opposite end of the cabin was a nice bunk room with two sets of bunk beds: 2 twin and the other with a twin over full. The three young people slept there comfortably, including our 6’5+” son! We brought 1 medium sized dog and a 4 month old puppy as well, but we never felt like we were on top of each other.
The setting was really nice - pretty view of the lake and easy walking distance to the shore, where we enjoyed the paddle boards, kayaks, and the water bicycle thing that we rented there at the resort. We also enjoyed fishing, and caught enough to make a nice meal.
Boat rentals are available from several different companies and individuals, and we thoroughly enjoyed the pontoon that we rented ($350 for all day).
The owners were very nice and helpful, and they made a real effort to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We did have to take our linens for the beds, including pillows, and bath towels, but that wasn’t a big deal.
All in all, we had a wonderful time, and we will definitely be back!

Planning a trip with three children our youngest a teenager is a nightmare. I found the best spot!! From check in to check out super friendly staff. We were asked many times do we need anything and how was our stay going. The cabin was perfect.
Your personal items, bedding, towels and food! That is all you need!! I am a clean FREAK and was nervous about that. It was wonderful so clean and fresh smells. We are counting down the days until we are back!! Thank you to the staff!

It’s called a resort but it is not a resort, weeds all around our site on the “new” site fallen tree near pool has been there a while, red clay mud in road, internet doesn’t work well, trash laying in roads and around campsites, no trees on new side terribly hot, the old side is very unkept with same issues also of great interest while playing bingo I looked up and saw a toilet sitting on the porch of the “bathhouse” permanent campers indicated it had been there for awhile…. Cabins on “new” side weedy and half mowed no underpinning on the “cabin” trailers yet it is laying in front of one of them , maybe they need to hire some help

Been going there for years , now the campground no longer allows boats or jet skis on your campsite or your cabin , you have to rent a “storage area “ across the road why would you camp in a campground on the water and not be able to have your boat ???
