My family has been coming to Cahoon's for at least 15 years and I wouldn't consider staying elsewhere . The staff here is very friendly. The cottages are very clean and kept up to date. Plenty of parking if you plan on having visitors. The best part of all is you are just steps away from the ocean and for...

I just spoke with the ugly lady at the front desk who was extremely rude. Her dog must have died because she was really unhappy. I advise to steer clear of this shady place. I wouldn't spend a dime at this overpriced dirty cottage.

Without a doubt, we will stay in these cottages again when we visit the Outer Banks. The location is great--mere steps from the beach, next to the beautiful Jeanette's Pier, with restaurant and ice cream options right across the street, and--even better--a well-stocked market (groceries, beach and fishing items, souvenirs. . .) on property with a deli that makes breakfast...

Nothing fancy but everything you need for a great stay at the OBX. The store is great and their homemade salads are delicious. The staff is so nice. We have found our home away from home for his fishing and my enjoying the beach. The cottages are well maintained, large and comfortable. Very reasonably priced.

My brother, sister-in-law, husband, and I stayed at Cahoon's in early April. Our two-bedroom cottage was very clean and nice, with a fun little porch and super close to the beach. The only real downside to our stay was that the mattresses were *very* worn - Tom and I had to keep climbing back out of the valley of the...

Quiet clean and comfortable. We stayed in cottage one. Only steps from the beach and very close to Jeanette's pier. The market is a little expensive but you are paying for the convenience. Over all it was a great stay.

We loved the view from our cottage. Quiet location, very nice inside and nicely decorated. Fresh towel delivery. People at the market were very helpful and friendly! Great location, near shopping and restaurants. We highly recommend staying here.

Home from another wonderful week at our favorite vacation spot! For many years we have enjoyed the location (on the beach and next to a store and pier) and clean, well-equipped cottages. We've stayed in three different cottages and two efficiencies and found all to be comfortable, thanks to the owners' commitment to constant updating. The staff (consistent in all...

I didn't post this review when we stayed here in Sept 2011, but should have. Husband and I reserved our cottage, on the phone paying half the rental upfront - we did this about 3 weeks prior to arriving. We got one of the cottages with 2 rooms. When we arrived for our week stay, we checked in and were...

This review is simply not true. If for some reason there is a need to move to another cottage the guest is not charged more. Now if the guest brings more people than cottage sleeps and needs a larger cottage of course the price increases. All prices are posted on website for all to see before making reservation. After coming for decades we are opting out any further stays since "skimmers" own and dominate the beach. In seeking to speak about this profound change in beach dynamics, Renee, the owner, could care less. Warning all families to take your money elsewhere if you are seeking the beach week you've been waiting all year to enjoy. Skimmers take every...

I have debated about whether and after many guests asked me to here is my response. These guests were long time customers and had we known there was a problem with their cottage would have corrected during their stay. It was corrected immediately once we learned of the issues in bathroom. As to the beach issue: The father came to...

“2 of the cottages are ocean front but you are next to the new Jennett's pier which is a must see and so close to the ocean that I really do not think it will matter if you are not ocean front”
