The Cougar 5th wheel was assigned #33 pull-through site on the lowest level as the campground is terraced. A small pavilion with fire pit and the lake were across the gravel road. We stayed two nights-- Mon & Tue. The campground was full by the time of our departure. The park office staff are friendly and helpful. There are two...

We had a pull through with all FHU's. The site was a little tight, but with the great PA rates, would not complain and we were gone sightseeing most of the day. There was only one bathhouse per gender and oddly, just a curtain instead of a door in the commode stall. The bathroom was clean, as well as the...

Stopped at Mayberry on our way home, was just one night but the office personal was very nice and helpful. The campground was nice and clean but nothing to really do. Sites were big. No real amenities to speak of, but it was the perfect overnight campground. I would stop again if driving through.

This campground is on the grounds of the Siamese Twins, Eng & Chang Bunker, and is run by their decendants. The owners are extremely friendly, outgoing and accommodating. They will even provide a tour of the twin's home, still on the property, at request. There are neat shops in nearby Mt. Airy, NC, the home of Andy Griffith, good food...

I hated not to give 5 stars and the only reason was it did not have concrete parking pads. It was dusty although the owner had an old fire department tanker truck that he would wet the roads. The park itself was beautiful with friendly staff. The baths were clean and so was the laundry. We really enjoyed Mt. Airy...

Timing is everything. We were scheduled to leave Hilton Head Island and travel to Washington DC for the Army 10- Miler road race when hurricane Matthew reared his ugly head. One thing complicating our trip is our motorhome on the island where we have lived off an in for 10 years. We made a hasty but correct decision to leave...

Thank you for taking the time to make a detailed review of our park! Although we would have preferred it to be under different circumstances (no hurricane!), we were delighted to have you nonetheless! We look forward to seeing you again!

My fourth trip. Level, gravel, grass. Well taken care of. Good fishing ponds. Close to Mt. Airy ( Andy, Barney, Opie ). Twenty minutes from Blue Ridge Parkway. Great this time of the year. Spent part of our 50th anniversary celebration there. Wish we had more time to spend there. WIFI could be a little better.

We stayed in space 98, which is on high ground in the park and was a back-in toward the west. Nice sunsets. Very clean and well maintained. Clean power and good water. Roads and sites are coarse, crushed granite, with grass in between sites.

We have stayed at Mayberry Campground twice now and both times we have not been unhappy with the place. The views there are very pretty and the park itself is very well laid out and well maintained. The sites are level and the cable works fine. The wifi works at the office just fine, in the campground it can be...

Stayed here under Passport America's rate of $17.76. Very comfortable and friendly staff. There is road noise, but did not bother us. Close to Andy Griffith's Mayberry RFD. Would definitely come back. Sites are not private, but spaced well on a hill.
