My husband and I stayed at this wonderful B&B while looking at property in the area. We loved the gated golf course community where the property was located. It was convienent to Morganton and an easy drive.
Bernie and Joyce were wonderful hosts, very welcoming. Our room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. I appreciated having the small refrigerator upstairs where we were able to access drinks and ice. There was a good internet connection and a nice flat screen TV in the room. Breakfast was served in a comfortable setting overlooking the mountains and the golf course. The meal was wonderful each day, especially Bernie's blueberry pancakes.
I would stay there again when in the area.

All I can say is wow!! After a very long day of travelling, we drove up to this lovely, lovely B&B. Joyce greeted us at the door and offered us a piece of cake that she'd baked that day and showed us to our room then asked us what we wanted for breakfast the next morning. What a breakfast! The entire inn is so beautifully decorated, and each room is decorated in a different theme. The beds are so comfortable and I can't say enough about the ambiance-rocking chairs on the front porch, wrap around porch overlooking the golf course-what a place. After a busy day, we decided to drive back from town and have dinner at the golf course and to our surprise Joyce and Bernie and all their friends were there. The whole community is so nice and welcoming, but at the same time respect your privacy. If you don't want to chat or be bothered, they leave you alone. We have already recommended the inn to many people and will plan to stay there on our next trip down in October. Can't wait!!

We had the pleasure of sharing a family get-together over a few days at the Fairway Oaks B&B. Despite being a family full of folks with different tastes, we all agreed we couldn’t be happier with our stay. The home is a charming and clean modern house with comfortable rooms located in a golf course community - great for a morning run or just to walk around and enjoy the scenic views. The hosts, Joyce and Bernie, are lovely people, the breakfasts were absolutely delicious and the hosts left us irresistible homemade cake and cookies. We of course forgot a phone charger when we left and they promptly mailed it to us. Thanks for the relaxing stay!

We just finished a 4 night stay at this lovely B&B located in a gated golf community less than 10 miles from downtown Morganton. The setting is peaceful with wonderful views of the nearby mountains and golf course - the entire house and property are immaculate. Joyce and Bernie are the perfect hosts and greeted us on arrival - they also provided great suggestions on where to find local places to eat out for lunch or dinner. We loved the decor which was very charming but not overdone. There is plenty of space outside on the wraparound porch to relax and have some conversations with each other and the owners. We were spoiled daily with homebaked cookies and cake on arrival and wonderful full breakfasts provided daily. This is a great place to stay and explore the surrounding area.

I recently purchased land in Morganton and this was my wife's first time to visit and tell me if I'd done well. We spent two nights at the Fairway Oaks B&B with Bernie and Joyce. The B&B is in a gated upscale golf community, beautiful home in a beautiful spot. Our room was spacious and comfortable, nicely decorated, spotlessly clean. Cookies and delicious lemon squares on arrival, wonderful breakfast each morning.
Bernie and Joyce gave us good advise on things to do in the area and gave us a glimpse of what life is like in Morganton. They're very nice people, great hosts and we hope to see them again when we move to area.

The innkeepers, Bernie & Joyce, made our stay personalized and relaxing, providing cookies and cake upon our arrival. They also provided incredible breakfasts, and Joyce even gave us both a hug when we left! The B&B is in a gated, residential golf course community, so it's quiet, and we felt very safe. My husband played a round of golf while I sat on the front porch swing and read. One evening, we played pool in the B&B's basement, where there's also a big-screen TV and a piano. The rooms and common areas are adorably decorated, and it's clear that Joyce is detail oriented. The bed was comfortable, and everything was very clean.

We were traveling from the NC coast and spent the night in this B & B. It was truly an outstanding place to stay. It is located on a golf course in a very quiet neighborhood. There was almost no traffic in the neighborhood and the hosts were very nice and excellent cooks. We had melt-in-your-mouth french toast for breakfast.
The bedroom was large and very comfortable with a big adjoining bath. You could not have asked for any better accommodations.
I would highly recommend this B & B to anyone who wants peace and quiet.

I have stayed in some very nice B&Bs but I have to say this one took the cake. Just a lovely couple to welcome us into this very homey, comfortable and clean king room with a very large bathroom, able to control your own heat/air. If you're a golfer, then this is perfect location for a round of golf taking in some rest & relaxation. We can't till we have another opportunity to be in or around Morganton so we can visit again. I wish we had more time to have stayed longer, but sure was a nice retreat after being in the mountains in a place that was lower than my expectations. Great restaurants within 5 miles (drive into town).

This was by far the best place we stayed in on our 17 day road trip. We spent 1 day at the beginning of our trip and the last 2 days of our trip. Bernie and Joyce are just a pleasure to know and the B & B is absolutely beautiful. The breakfast is just yummy! and all prepared fresh. The rooms are big with nice big bathrooms and there are sodas and water always available in the fridge in the hallway. I am quite certain that when our travels bring us back to this area we will be booking again. Top notch accommodation at a very reasonable price. Thank you Bernie and Joyce!

The key to any business is its people. At Fairway Oaks it is first class. The owners are tops. We thoroughly enjoyed them. They are great. And we can not say enough about the beautiful house, the wonderful breakfasts, the nice setting right on the golf course, the unusual views just everything about it for the four nights we were there. It is the kind of situation where you hate to leave and can hardly wait to go back.
