We loved our stay at this place. The staff made us feel like long lost friends and met our needs with a smile. The decorations for the Race event we were there for was a special touch. The breakfast was very good as well. Even the manager helped where needed.

I stay here monthly, the managers at the desk are wonderful, they are friendly and helpful, they have provided toothbrushes and paste when I have forgotten mine. Once there was an issue with my air conditioner and they fixed it immediately. It is a fairly new property and it is spotless. The breakfasts are fresh and some variety over a long stay. Coffee and tea are available always. The workout toom is a good size with many pieces of equipment and weights. There is also hand sanitizer and wipes and water in the gym. I did suggest there to be hand sanitizer near the coffee dispenser as it does concern me with the potential spread of virus that everyone touches the hand nozzle for coffee and their hands may not be clean, hopefully they will address this. I found there are plenty of towels and soaps in the room and the beds and pillows are very comfortable for me. I stay a week at a time and I wouldn't stay anywhere else in this area! The pool is supposedly heated, but it needs to be warmer as I have heard this comment from other patrons.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn in Lenoir and it was a great place to stay with easy access to traveling to Boone and Blowing Rock. The hotel is extremely well kept, clean and comfortable. The staff at this hotel goes above and beyond to make your stay most enjoyable. We had an issue with the tire on our rental car and they were extremely helpful. Can’t say enough about the service and the professionalism of the staff. The breakfast choices were outstanding and the only hotel we visited during our stay that afforded you snack options for later on in the day such as granola bars etc. Definitely a place to stay if you are visiting this area,

We often stay at Hampton Inns (silver member) because what you get is fairly predictable. Clean, quiet rooms for a somewhat reasonable price. On this occasion (ski Valentine's weekend) we were unpleasntly surprised by this Hampton Inn. We arrived in late evening and went to bed. The there was this intermittent clattering noise that seemed to be from outside. As we were on the second floor, outside noise isn't exactly unexpected. Still it came and went....fairly loud. The next morning we left early for the ski slopes and didn't return until late evening. Again, the same noise. A little investigating showed it to be a bad (bearing?) fan in the heating unit. So we turned off the heat for the night. I complained the next morning expecting one of our two nights to be comped. The manage could have cared less and said we should have told them earlier! Needless to say this Hampton Inn won't get our future business.

The rooms and hotel are ultramodern and spotless, however, the management is psycho. When the woman at check in realized we lived in a nearby city, she started interrogating us about why we wanted to stay there and told us we would not be allowed to stay, although we had made a non-refundable payment through a third party website. She said some local people had damaged rooms in the past, so since we lived within 40 miles we would not be allowed.
I asked her if we looked like the kind of people who would trash a hotel room, and she said you can't tell by looking at a person's appearance. She then said she would make an exception for us this one time. This was after we paid $124 for a night in a hotel. So if you can prove you live further away, they might believe you.
Another local couple told us they were required to show proof that the floors in their house were being redone in order to stay there. Please don't support his kind of bizarre behavior.
If you choose to, you might want to ask the check-in person questions like, "Is most of the decor in the room flammable?" "Will the TV fit through a window?" "May I have an upper floor room because I like to watch things smash when they hit pavement from a great height?" This place was so offensive, disrespectful and demeaning to us, I would not encourage anybody to stay there ever. The Hampton Inn in Hickory is wonderful. They make you feel like royalty and family. We stayed there five nights and were on a first name basis with most of the staff. Drive the extra distance and stay there. You will feel like you have friends there after you check out.
We felt like convicts after we left this place. Who needs that, especially when you are paying that much for a room.

We opted to stay here while visiting the area over winter break with our family. Brand new hotel, affordable compared to others in the area, and nice restaurants nearby. We were visiting Banner Elk, Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mountain, etc and they were all within an hour drive. They have hot water, coffee, hot cocoa, and tea available 24/7. We really enjoyed our stay!

We inadvertently ran down the battery of our rental car, which we discovered upon leaving. The front desk person, Renee, went to her own car and brought out her jumper cables and got us up and running again in a few minutes. She also recommended a good local coffee shop. Room was very comfortable and modern.

The woman at the front desk checked someone else into my room without checking IDs and then tried to tell me I didn’t have a reservation. Unless I had argued with her to check and recheck her system, I likely would have been sleeping in my rental car as she had absolutely no interest in helping me. Incredibly rude. Room was dusty when I finally got into one.

Room wasn’t as clean as it should have been! Wall paper was coming off the walls and the bathroom needed a major cleaning! Bed slept well! Customer service was excellent! The floor in the shower needed help!

They basically were rude the whole time I was there . And when checked out they decided to charge my card for $250 saying I was a local but then said it will be returned back but it didn’t it posted to my account so I called them and they stated it was a smoking fee so for one I don’t smoke I’m pregnant and for two my fiancé had Chronic asthma. It was just weird how they switched it up from one thing to another when neither one of their excuses made sense I would like to have my money back

About a hour.. give or take 15-20 because it was snowing when we went and we drove very slow. That was our first time seeing snow and driving in it.
