Had a great bed and breakfast experience here. Couldn't have been a better first time at Lake Waccamaw. The hosts were very sweet and made us feel right at home, like we were visiting our folks. The building is an old hotel. Bed was very soft and room was very clean. Each room had its own bathroom and shower. Nice... More

Phyllis and Russ invited my family into their home for the weekend. I truly felt like I was visiting an old friend. Now I have 2 new friends. Location is perfect Lakeside patio sitting area and pier are a plus. My kids even caught a few fish from pier. Has a large sunroom with TV and toys/games for kids.

We came down to go kayaking on the lake for the weekend and had a great time. The view from the upstairs porch is beautiful, and we made good use of their pier. The breakfast was great and the owners were very friendly and engaging. We will definitely be back!

This is a true B&B run by a very pleasant couple name Phyllis and Russ. It was an old boarding house that they refurbed into a B&B with four rooms upstairs all with private baths and a great view of Lake Waccamaw. My husband, daughter, son-in-law and I stayed for two nights this past weekend and we were very pleased... More

My wife and I went her for a quick, one night getaway! First, the area is beautiful. It is truly one of North Carolina's hidden gems. Second, the house is older but in great shape, clean, well kept and very quiet and comfortable. Third, the owners are an incredibly nice couple and they really try to make you as comfortable... Lake Waccamaw is the best kept secret in that area of North Carolina. The second-story sun porch overlooks the lake. The Innkeepers,Ted & Phyllis Russ were extremely nice and accomadating.

Our vacation plan actually centered on Southport, but alas, there was no room at the INNS we were hoping for. We were intrigued however by Lake Waccama having never been there, and only an hour away from Southport. For about 1/2 the price of a Southport B&B, we decided to try the Lake Shore Lodge for the night..........GLAD THAT WE... More

I stayed for 2 nights this past weekend. Never had such a warm and cozy stay after staying at many hotels. Ted and Phyliss welcome you and nobody is a stranger. I even bought an old fashioned pump like they have. House is very clean and I left stresses behind looking at the huge lake while having tea on the... More

Very comfortable. Maybe too comfortable. Like staying with family. Great View. We were able to bicycle around the lake on our 2 day visit. Breakfast was continental but the frozen slushy fruit was really good!
