It was like staying in your own private tree house! Very clean. Everything not new, but many updates. Definitely would stay there again. Wonderful fireplace. Nice kitchen setup. A little confusing to get to, but once there you can easily find your way.

I have stayed in Rambling Bald Resort on 3 different occasions and all have been nice. Lots of activities going on but can be quiet if that is what you want. I have never had a problem with accommodations or staff. Nice beach at the lake, clean pools, but crowed with kids and great golf cour

The perfect place to stay for your Lake Lure stay. Friendly staff. They resolved a minor reservation issue on the spot. We stayed I the Apple Valley villas. Do ask for a room not backing up to the street. If you golf play both courses. They are very different. The entire resort was super duper clean. Be sure to take... More

The employees make this place. Everyone was warm, welcoming and very helpful. The inn is dated but clean. The rooms were huge. The weather was not great yet but we could tell the grounds were going to be beautiful.

My wife and I stayed here for a week earlier this month. The resort is beautiful and although everything was just beginning to come alive for the upcoming summer, we were able to enjoy the pool, take the Lake Lure pontoon tour (which was very good - beautiful scenery and lake homes), and play some tennis. There is a great... More

We stayed in mid March, and while everything was not open at the resort, there was enough operating to provide what we needed. Our condo in the Wyndham Resort at Fairfield MountaIns (a part of Rumbling Bald) was just lovely. Very clean & well maintained, and comfortable. We were especially happy that it was a free standing unit and both... More

We have been going to Rumbling Bald for over 6 years. We go in the summer time. We have 3 kids. The pool activities and camps are a great experience for them. They always have a blast. We have been several times on July 4th and have always had fun with all the extra events going on. We have noticed... More

My family has a year around condo at Rumbling Bald so we are sort of locals . Summers are great , staff plan kid activities well, family friendly pools and lake activities . Fall is beautiful here and the winters are relaxing. Restaurants and bars are very good.

We stayed in a wonderful, stand alone house in the Mountain View section of Rumbling Bald (412 was the unit number. We stayed here as an RCI timeshare trade). Upon walking into the house, the kitchen is at the entry way, easy for unloading food directly from car to kitchen. To the right of kitchen is the second bedroom with... More
