This hotel was pretty much empty when we checked in. However, we were provided a handycap room for some reason. All the furniture as literally lower than the bed. The lighting was iffy, one of the light switches popped and sparked when we turned it on. We actually tried to stay out of the room for much of the day...

Pet friendly....we paid for a room, they upgraded us without telling us why, didn't give us the opportunity to take the room we reserved, so extra money involved. Upgrade moved us from the parking lot to beachfront. So... Had to hook up the TV on our own, missing light bulb, room phone doesn't work. Breakfast...not really...comfortable beds though. Ok visit,...

Before we booked this hotel we had read some not so flattering reviews of the hotel, but we booked anyway. Well, we had a great visit, the rooms were clean and did allow pets. Breakfast was free every morning and although not alot did have the simple things like coffee, bagels, muffins, fruit and cereal. The bathrooms were very well...

The location is perfect! You could not be any closer to the beach in this wonderful, classic, beach motel. It was the ideal place to stay with our pet and the staff was super friendly. We had a fantastic time on the beach with our dog and it was great being able to meet other pet families as well. The...

The photos and good reviews do not lie--it was perfect. You can hear the surf and be at water's edge in seconds and still have a very clean room, nice white cotton linens, great service, and--at least in the Fall--a quiet night's sleep with your door open to the ocean. ( I wouldn't want to be anywhere on the Outer...

Being one of very few pet friendly hotels in the OBX area we have previously stayed here, but NEVER again. The accomodatuons are nothing 'to write home about' to begin with, but again, we were traveling with pets and choices are few. This would have been a 1 night stopover on our way to Hatteras, Oct 2016. In short, we...

It's not a four-star accommodation, the rating is based on value and locale. We were pretty satisfied with the value we got for 90$ - spacious 2 double-bed room, dated but clean interior, dorm-room size fridge, microwave, iron, hair-dryer, functional table, working TV and shower, good sound-proofing. NB: only the Sea Building (16 units if I'm not mistaken) has the...

Right by the beach so the location was great. The hotel definitely needs some updating and work. The halls were musty and dark. The rooms were decent and fairly clean but damp and musky. I came here on a special deal and would again but I would not come back if I had to pay full price.

Thank Karen B
