We visit Mitchell's Lodge regularly because our kids live near there. I always feel like I am in my second home. The rooms are clean and quiet, breakfast is great, and the open windows, mountain air, and sound of the stream are all so relaxing and inviting. The flowers are absolutely lovely. Overall, it is one of my favorite places...

This is an established facility that's a couple of blocks from Main Street. Rooms are rustic, clean, and surprisingly quite considering the activity they attract. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Continental breakfast is fresh with a nice variety. Highly recommend this place, and will utilize again when needed.

We always enjoy our stay at Mitchell's as we know to expect the rustic environment. Cabins are clean and have what you need for a pleasant stay. We did find one queen bed in cabin 4 that was in poor condition and uncomfortable, which we did report. The staff is great, accommodating and always friendly!

This place was so cute! Clean and staff were great. My only complaint is that the town closed down at 8pm, so if you have a late night and haven't eaten yet, you have to travel 30 miles to the closest restaurant for grocery store.

Mitchell's Lodge and Cottages is a very well maintained and clean place to stay. Room was big and comfortable with a huge deck overlooking the stream. A nice breakfast of cereals, yogurt ,and variety of breakfast pastries was provided with the cost of room. The only negative was it was not quiet as they are located right off main highway....

Mitchell's is very close to hiking trails as well as the main street in Highlands. It's comfortable and clean. Our room had two TVs - one in the bedroom and one in the sitting area, and a balcony with chairs to sit and enjoy nature. We stay here every year in May.

We stayed three nights in the Chestnut cabin. It was very clean and comfortable. This is an older place, but well kept up. There is lots of highway noise at this location. The breakfast is ok-no meat. We made bacon and eggs in our kitchen. They do have cold hard boiled eggs. The staff is very friendly. Would stay again....

Nice Creekside room with a private patio/balcony. Also we had all the amenities that we needed such as iron, ironing board, small refrigerator, microwave, sink, dishes, hair dryer, etc. as well as friendly staff. However, I would suggest booking a room closer to the pavilion if light bothers you at night. We had 3 lights on the patio as well...

My husband and I rented the Chestnutt Cottage at Mitchell's. It was perfect for the two of us and our small dog. Such a relaxing place. The staff was wonderful and the facilities were fantastic. So many outdoor areas to sit and relax. Beautiful pond and creek running through the property with a pavillon to sit and relax in. Great...
