A visit to the Old Edwards Inn was like a walk back in time to the elegant service likely provided in lovely hotels in the early 20th century. The owners have created a beautiful setting and have assembled a staff to ensure their guests are well cared for.

The Old Edwards Inn is a wonderful place to stay in Highlands, NC. The location in the town is perfect for walking to all the shops and restaurants. The hotel itself is very welcoming and the historic rooms are lovely. The food at their restaurant, Madisons is just exceptional. A perfect place to stay!

Loved this place really nice property beautiful location with top notch rooms different styles to choose from. We stayed in lodge rooms which I would suggest. Large room with fireplace, king bed, updated bath with heated floor, very nice. Only stayed one night but will go back.

We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay with us and plan to return. Yes, one night is not enough to explore Old Edwards, especially to experience the town of Highlands and surrounding areas. Thank you for posting your review on TripAdvisor. We look forward to your return.

All services were not available, very costly for zero privacy. The web site description does not match the environment. The pool and hot tub is the same as staying a a Holiday Inn. We choose their top dollar cottage and stayed in a quad and could hear our neighbors to our side and above come and go.

Where do I begin in describing this pretentious elitist colony. The management ( Richard Delany) of this Inn is horrific and un-qualified. This guy didn't have the balls to pick up the phone and call me about my displeasure. Instead puts his thoughts in an email to me, promising that he will "see to it" that any review I place...

This was my fifth time staying at Old Edwards properties in the past three years. I was solo this time for a few days of a relaxing getaway. The staff at Old Edwards is super-friendly and always helpful, accommodations and amenities are excellent, and the weather in Highlands was pleasant. Overall a fantastic three-night getaway. I, along with my husband,...

This hotel and city was beyond expectations. The food (especially breakfast) was DELICIOUS at the hotel. Service was impeccable. We got a Falls Cottage suite with a fire place and the bathrooms are luxurious and grande. We came here for our honeymoon for a week and it was so worth the luxury and price. We went into the hot tub...

They didn't forget even a tiny detail. Your sandals are warm after spa treatments, the tile floor in your bathroom is heated as are the towels. The rooms are so nice you don't want to leave to enjoy all the amenities the grounds offer. Amazing place! Food delicious, staff friendly and accommodating. Can't wait to return.....and might bring my husband!

“We stayed in the historic inn. Our friends had a room with a balcony which was so nice for relaxing. Our room was larger with a sitting area. The beds are very comfortable. The rooms are beautifully decorated with antiques and the draperies and bed linens are lovely. If you want a refrigerator stay in the newer buildings or the lodge or cottages. ”
