I checked myself into the spa for the day for a nice birthday getaway, completely worth it & a great experience. The staff is super friendly & accommodating. The spa has a wonderful environment, relaxing and providing hot tea & water to keep you hydrated. The cafe is also delicious, with good selections. I enjoyed the amenities that you're allowed...

Up in the mountains there is an elegant Inn waiting to serve you. Located on a plateau of the southern Appalachian Mountains in the Nantahala National Forest in the town of Highlands, North Carolina the Old Edward Inn will take care of you. My room was really a cottage with elegant furnishing and a very fancy bathroom! The floors were...

Excellent! Food, atmosphere, service was perfect. Booked the spa suite for my husband's birthday. Every detail that I had planned was carried off without incident. Dinner at Madison's was beyond our expectations. We cannot wait to return. This will definitely be an annual visit .

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Highlands and our stay at the Old Edwards Inn and Spa. We perfectly timed our trip to enjoy the snow the weather forecasters predicted and Old Edwards was undoubtedly the perfect choice for our winter wonderland stay. We experienced many of the offerings on property - the award-winning spa is wonderful (be sure to...

Overrated...in a big way. The entire place is spread out and is definitely a summer resort. The service, while good, was very laid back and slow in most circumstances. Dinner one night, the waiter was not versed in the menu and hurried dinner. The next night, the waiter was wonderful. It seemed they all lacked the training necessary to do...

Fantastic, Luxurious, Understated Elegance, Homey, Warm, Inviting...all the words that just begin to describe this beautiful property. Passing through on a business trip, this was a one night, incredible stay. From the champagne greeting to the warmth of the bathroom floors, to the soothing aroma of Molton Brown bath products, the soft touch of personal robes and slippers, and the...

Service and surroundings were pure luxury. While having to change rooms, due to a change in our reservation we were able to experience two types of accommodations during one visit. First we were in the Falls cottages, casually elegant surroundings, beautifully designed for privacy and outdoor exposure with all the amenities and easy access to the Inn, grounds and downtown...

My husband and I stayed in a 1 bedroom suite over New Year's weekend at The Lodge in this beautiful hotel/resort. The suite was spacious, well designed, and had everything we needed to feel relaxed and pampered. We had a drink at the "library" one evening, and enjoyed the performance of an excellent classical guitarist. We ate at the Madison...

We were here for New Years. Resort is charming and Highlands was even more charming. Staff was polite and helpful but food was just so so. We ate at Madison's restaurant twice. There was a set menu for New Year's Eve. Presentation was gorgeous but the food was very expensive and honestly, just not very good. We don't mind paying...
