My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights and took the cooking class. We really enjoyed the class and the friendly atmosphere of the Inn. The innkeeper Marti is so interesting and has so much history knowledge that it made our stay. We would love to go back sometime. The Colonel Cleveland room was very comfortable.

We stayed in the Nature and Earth room with private bath. The front porch is a peaceful place to read. The common areas have wonderful displays to view. Chef Marti's tour is a wonderful history of the area as well as some of the presidents. All staff are friendly and professional. And of course, there is the most excellent breakfast...

We had a great time in every way! Relaxing in the luxurious room, making pasta in the cooking class, indulging in the delicious breakfasts served, learning fun food facts about US Presidents, antiquing in nearby stores, rocking on the porch, and essentially having no schedule, which was extremely refreshing. Chef Marti is wonderfully knowledgeable and theatric and really creates a...

My husband and I decided to stay here after we found this place on Groupon. It was between this place and another Bed and Breakfast and I am glad we chose this place. The inn was full of fun facts and memorabilia from different presidents as well as other history. Marti is a fun guy to talk to and listen...

Chef Marti is a walking book of knowledge, really enjoyed having him share about the White House memorabilia and the knowledge on food is amazing too! We did the cooking class and enjoyed the time with Chef Marti. A great adventure for the newbie cook!

If you can get a reservation, get one now. Be sure and sign up for the cooking class. Chef Marti is a real pro. His resume speaks for itself. He has stories that only a chef in the White House can have. He is a great teacher in the kitchen, yet keeps it easy to understand. And oh, the Inn...

Maryellen and I just spent our 54th anniversary at the inn. To say we enjoyed our stay would be an understatement. We were amazed at what we found there. Our room was great and tha food was a real treat. Marti gave us the tour of the museum. He has an incredible knowledge of history and our presidents. His collection...

From the time we were greeted at the front door by Marti, the owner and chief chef, to the time we left, everything was perfect! I was amazed at what Marti and his wife, Stormy, have collected and put on display. I knew Marti had been a White House chef, I didn't know how much American history would be on...

We booked a 2 night stay through a Living Social promotion. The rate was quite reasonable. Marti, the owner, was wonderful to deal with and helped us in selecting where to eat and where to go. The room was comfortable though a little noisy as the Baby Ruth room fronts the road outside and there is a major train track...

This was a very interesting place to stay. It was a lot like staying in a museum. There are a lot of presidential and American Revolution antiques in the bed and breakfast. The food was wonderful and the service was great. We felt welcome and enjoyed the talk given about interesting facts of some of our presidents.
