This is a beautifully converted horse barn in the country. Our innkeepers and the breakfasts were great. Loved the local art displayed throughout the inn. The silk wall hangings are lovely. Perfect weekend stay.

Seven women who started college at NCWC in 1965 arrived Tuesday for a reunion. We took over the property and left only for one meal. Matt was gracious and a great chef, as well. We met in the main house and then in the cottage - and back and forth. It was a perfect setting for us. We have booked... More

Three months in advance of a new year's weekend stay, I asked if I could reserve Saturday night only. I specifically asked if it would be a problem to stay just the one night because I suspected that others coming ot town would want to reserve at least two nights. I received a response from Matt indicating that it would... More

I regret our miscommunication caused you to be without a room. We do everything possible to ensure people have a room, but do expect credit card or payment in order to confirm. We receive lots of e-mails and calls about potential stays, and perhaps I need to be more clear about the fact that a name and credit card are... More

When you drive down the gravel driveway, about 1/4 mile off the main road, you might think you are lost. You drive passed a lots of woods to a clearing with a pasture on each side and a restored/redesigned/rebuilt horse stable. That is the inn. Matt and Meridith were cordial hosts. The room (#1) was adequate but I would have... More

We stayed here for a 3 night honeymoon. Matt and Meridith are such amazing people. I had talked to Matt on the phone and emailed a few times, and when we met in person, they felt like family. We use to live in East TN in the Smoky Mountains. Sitting on the front porch of River Landing Inn, with the... More

My husband and I spent this past weekend here as a guest of Matt and his wife. We loved the place, area, and accommodations! Matt and his wife were very gracious and attentive to our requests, needs, etc. If you are looking for a comfortable, cozy, and welcoming experience in the country this is a great place. We will definitely... More

We spent three nights and would highly recommend this B&B. Matt and his wife were so welcoming and friendly and the inn is cozy and comfortable. We loved sitting on the little porch off our room enjoying the afternoon sun and views over the pasture. Matt cooked up a delicious breakfast every morning and even catered to our gluten free... Wiped after a stressful day, stalked by aggressive and probably high semi-homeless people in downtown Chapel Hill. On the way to the inn, the car's wiper arm snapped clean off. We were near tears. We pulled into the Inn and got nuzzled by two loving dogs who know souls in need. Just what we needed. M and Mrs M once... More

Refurbished large horse barn divided into 4 clean and fresh rooms opening into a common area. Perfect for a small group of friends or honeys who want separate rooms and can agree on being considerate about noise in the common area TV and stereo. Gorgeous woodwork and art everywhere. Superb coffee and generous yummy breakfast. Outdoor seating clustered in assorted... More

On a trip with my mom, we found the River Landing Inn to be wonderfully placed to allow us to visit a Saxapahaw antiques show, check out the Mill music events, and get a nice dinner as well. Our room was spotlessly clean, with many brand new features, and great bedding. Our room opened onto a wonderful large deck with... More
